I thought this place was really neat. Maybe a couple of hours there but cool to see innovation in progress. Plus great reuse of old coal furnace complex. Well worth an afternoon.
The area is great - we didn't have much time for everything and choose this. The building is amazing!
Husband is a designer - I am an artist - we felt there was a total lack of info. It's fun to see things - but why did they get a red dot? Why are they special?? No info - so disappointed. There were one or 2 things that stood out.

We spontaneously visited, no wait at entry, the whole exhibition of the design awarded products took us less than 1-hour. The place itself is interesting, the exhibition itself was not too exciting for me, but that's just my personal opinion, I am sure many others did enjoy it more !
The museum itself is beautiful, old factory combined with shiny new designs, bathtubs, bicycles, beauty materials, etc. Nice staff and they serve tea and coffee.
This is a really fun museum. A lot of the products you can touch and the building itself is really something. TIP: if you visit on a Friday you can choose wat you pay to enter!
Super friendly stuff and super cool location. The idea itself is also nice but it totally misses out on explanations on the items itself. Why is it so special? Just a few had that info. Maybe less products (but more info on the item) would be helpfull for the visitors in order to understand why the product has won the award. Sometimes you feel like in a store.
The visit to the modern design museum is very interesting, it is the largest museum in Europe. It's a very interesting visit because the modern design museum is inside an old iron factory and it is wonderful to be able to see what the old factory was like inside and at the same time enjoy the modern design exhibition.
The museum closes at 6 pm.

Really enjoyed this museum, my only negative would be some more understanding of the designs, why and how they were designed. A more indepth explanation of some of the exceptional design pieces would be good. I did particularly enjoy the lighting exhibition. It costs 6euro to enter.
