We stopped for breakfast after browsing Eastern Market. The service was very pleasant, we sat right away at 11am on a Sunday. I really enjoyed my cappuccino and ham, Gruyère and egg croissant. My husband ordered the manchego and prosciutto sandwich which comes on a ciabatta roll- he thought the content to bread ratio was really off. He did enjoy the chicken soup. I would definitely stop back here for that croissant sandwich!
Lovely French Café. Fabulous dishes and pastries, plus amazing coffees. Loved it
Here visiting from Chicago and to say their waffles are fantastic is an understatement! The absolute BEST waffle I’ve ever had, amazing service as well!
Difficult to give such a negative review. The food is good, pastries are very good, but often the service is odd and slow. I’m lucky if I can get in an out in an hour. You can walk in and get no clear sense if you seat yourself or someone will seat you. Sometimes I have been sitting for 20 min before a waiter comes to my table with a menu. If you are going to dine here, give yourself a lot of time.
My favorite breakfast place in DC.
Everything is delicious, especially omelets.
Highly recommend trying passionfruit tart for dessert, it’s absolutely mouthwatering!

Fabulous (and quiet) breakfast in a lovely little boulangerie by Eastern Market. Though it is a chain, I was delighted with the experience. Baked eggs and a flat white (see picture) followed by an apricot pistachio tart for dessert. Mais oui!
We really enjoyed our breakfast here. The atmosphere was lovely; it was a beautiful sunny day. The service was fast and friendly. I had a mocha and the Dutch pancakes - they were fantastic.
I haven't rated a place as average for a long time. We've had such great food in DC, this was just average. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't something to come back for. It tasted almost institutional. Service was slow. Atmosphere was nice with great outside seating.
