Beautiful exhibit! I’ve been wanting to come here since coming to Taiwan and was a bit intimidated because of the language barrier. But, this wasn’t a problem at all! All staff was super kind, including the English speaking staff.
I had issues with trying to figure out the locker, but the woman helping me was very friendly and showed me how to work it.
The space itself makes it really easy to navigate, and all of the exhibition info can be found on QR codes placed in front of each room. They had English language audios which was awesome for me to get to know Yang Mao-Lin’s work.
Their gift shop also uses Apple Pay which was convenient for me.
I’ll be back again!

This is my favorite art museum in taiwan! I absolutely loved the art here and unique exhibits. It's on the smaller side compared to other museums, but it's mighty!
Disappointed with my trip yesterday. I visited in 2019 and since then the quality of the exhibitions has really deteriorated.
I went to see the Rescues in Time exhibition. Boring, just some retired guy fanboying about his own legacy.
I saw the second exhibition Chance Operation which again was a miss. It showed some screens of Earth planets spinning around, nothing much more than that.
I think they were both missed opportunities to say something impactful or about the state of the world. Wish I could say better things better MoCA Taipei has definitely seen better days.

One of my best favorite museum in TPE city. Parents and kids friendly —-every Saturday morning free from 10-12am. Like to visit here ever quarter.
$100 NT for non Taipei citizen. The exhibitions have 2 floors, quite interesting ( well with this price, don’t expect a large collections ok?)
I was pretty impressed that they still open at public holiday( cafe not) after viewing the exhibitions, decided to John the annual membership ( NT$500) with unlimited passes

Walkable from Taipei Main Station. It is an old building typical of the Japanese era. The contemporary museum is nice to visit. It is very interesting what they offer inside. I am not a museum lover but I liked it. There is a part of the museum where you need to have reservation. Just 100TWD for entrance.
There is not much to explore in here because it based on the event that host on the particular event. I was there while they host an event under topic “ Love is in the Bin “ which start at 5:40pm and there is a place you can sit and wait the staff will help you coordinate.
Check the exhibit before you go. We had time to kill and went here out of curiosity. The building and museum store were more interesting than the May exhibit.
They were installing a new exhibit in one area that looked like a floor to ceiling leg & paw. That may have been more cool, otherwise it was underwhelming and small.
You can also pay with the metro card here if you don't have cash.
