I recently visited the MPAC in Morristown, NJ and it was an amazing experience. The theater is a nonprofit multi-use performing arts center that offers a wide range of shows and events. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the venue is well-maintained and comfortable. The refreshment area has many choices on offer and the seating is spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend this theater to anyone looking for a great night out.
Enjoy the show!
Enjoy the show!
Volunteers running this place are terrific! So friendly and helpful. Very nice venue to see a concert or show. We saw Temps & 4 Tops from row 10 and both groups rocked it! Such fun. Only negative was that if you stood up to dance someone would complain. Not the place to enjoy music to its fullest unless you are a boring person who wants to sit still and not move! Lol Will definitely go back.
I have been to this amazing theater 5 times and always amazed by the location and their shows. Last night was magical with all the Christmas light and the Holiday atmospheric! Christmas Cirque was an outstanding experience with my fabulous friends
Beautiful cozy theatre I ve been to two performances with a small toddler and the service and kindness from their staff is amazing even during my daughters tantrums and meltdowns
Beautiful theater! Always a great show or concert. They even serve cocktails 🍸!
Nice venue in a great little town. Lots of nearby restaurants and dessert places, making for a great evening. Staff at venue were very helpful, positive, and professional.
I have been to this venue literally dozens of times. I was there in the 70’s when it was used as a movie theatre! It is a fantastic place to see any act that has booked there. Check the website. They book many genre of music, comedy, classical etc. It is THE venue of choice in the greater vicinity. I feel you can see and hear from any seat in the place. The balcony is a great bargain, if that’s your thing.
Parking is a problem however. The only real parking for late comers is the parking deck on the opposite side of the street, closer to the ‘green’. Word of caution: don’t park where it specifically says No Parking. I know!! For early comers (2-3 hours early) you might be able to get street parking within a block or so. Don’t forget to feed the meter until 8 pm. They do check.
Parking update-The best kept secret for parking is the public lot behind the Morristown Diner. My parking charge was $1.50 for the Osmond show. (Short walk to the PAC) This is now my first choice. Parking in the deck near the bars and restaurants just off the green (south) will cost you much more than $1.50.
Many restaurants are in the area. Check the web for their reputation.
Update: The Donny Osmond concert was a stunning achievement of excellence in performance and showmanship-If you weren’t there you missed one of the best shows available anywhere, including Las Vegas.

Overall it was a great experience. I don't know if it were my aging ears, my seat (3 rows back stage left, handicapped) but the sound seemed unbalanced. It was not to loud, but at times "muddy". Again, it could have been our seats or sound board issues. Great show overall.
For regular attendees or handicapped. While sitting in front of the venue we noticed what looked like a clever solution to the parking issue. There were multiple black limo bus' that were doing people at the entrance and awaiting their exit. I'm guessing it's a park and ride or shuttle. This is a very busy part of Morrison and the combination of dinner rush and showtime, parking seemed the only real concern. Do you research, I didn't because we were told about the reserved handicapped parking.
Handicapped /ADA attendees:
As for handicapped parking, they have reserved spots on the side of the building but no "clear entrance to get a v reticle vehicle into a the lot. (Sign on south street was one way, exit only, no entry)
After driving around the block a few times couldn't find it didn't seem to have an obvious entry point to their reserved handicapped parking spots)
We were however fortunate enough to get the spot in front of the venue (library side of South Street) an hour and a half before the show. Fortunately, our spot (although typically a 2 hour time limit) was free from 8-10.
In summary
Overall great experience, awesome staff clean bathrooms, and comfortable seating. If you get seats closer to center stage rather than stage left or right, you might have better sonic experience..
Strongly recommend going early, finding a lot or other transportation means and you'll find it's a very professional venue and intimate considering the great shows they have here!
