A beautiful old building , housing a very nice hotel. Friendly staff , serving breakfast, morning teas and coffee, lunch, snacks, afternoon tea and dinner served in the adjoining cafe , bar and restaurant. Situated in the town center, close to the castle, shops, bars and other amenities. The Feathers has its own carpark ,is child and dog friendly and has a lift to the upper floors. The bed rooms are well appointed and feature modern bath/shower rooms. Spotlessly clean and good quality beds, bedding and towels.
Some rooms have balconies overlooking the car park, with scenic hills behind.
This hotel has been tastefully decorated and updated in keeping with the age of the building.

We had a family of 6 Christmas Day Lunch at the Feathers, we all agreed the food was excellent as was the service. Well done to all the staff.

Stayed at the feathers hotel for 2 nights. The food menu was very limited, the sirion steak was very poor quality full of fat. Sent it back and got a refund. They also ran

out of the chicken dish. When the food did arrive it was cool. Breakfast menu was incomplete. Hotel was very cold no fires lit on ground floor. Stayed in a bedroom which overlooked the street, only half the panels for secondary double glazing were fitted so room was noisy and cold. £5 a night to park at the hotel is a bit cheeky.

Hotel looks fabulous from outside and also inside bar area. We were so looking forward to staying there having walked past on previous visits to Ludlow. Car parking at hotel was full so had to go elsewhere not too far to walk in the dry. Our room was overlooking the main road and street noise was an issue, also people coming back at 12.30 shouting in the corridor also an issue. On balance wish we hadn’t bothered to stay the night and should have just driven home.

Beautiful historic building. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were very good. We did have a slight problem with the room which was dealt with quickly and effectively. We ate in the restaurant for one evening. The food was delicious. Would stay again.

This is a remarkable hotel, a historical timber building, but no "Tudorbethan" here. All exposed timber, large furniture etc is original. We've stayed twice this year, attracted by music at the Assembly Rooms.

The Feathers is totally relaxed with a superb professional attitude. Rooms are spacious, contemporary decor and well equipped.

I have dietary problems and on both visits, nothing was a problem. I have, often, been called a "fussy eater"!

Quality throughout is a joy to find. Reasonably priced but definately good value throughout.

We had a 2 day break at the feathers Hotel and enjoyed our stay. The room was great, the floor was sloped but given the age of the hotel it was understandable. The bathroom was lovely and the shower just right. Have marked one star down for the service as we had to wait an hour for breakfast on the first morning, the second morning we had finished by 30 minutes which was good. I would stay there again.

I lived in Ludlow for many years and The Feathers Hotel and Its rare beauty and age is part of the beating heart of the town and it's somewhere that you can feel yourself in a time warp!
The Feathers is a must visit and will stay with you for years to come!
True she's had her ups and downs but considering her age and a truly whirlwind history she still has a pull of a your heart, imagination and memories that are almost rare to find!
There's always been a high quality of standards and the locals are deeply involved in the work they do,. even training school leavers who are eager for a place in the team! I love her and recommend a couple of drinks or a bar snack to even the highest quality of fine dining and maybe even treat a loved one and yourself with a weekend break!
