This place is so beautiful. The grounds are amazing and well kept. The views are stunning. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. The rooms do need a little updating. However you won't spend much time in the room. Only to sleep and shower. The beds are very comfortable.
At first it looked amazing. The view is nice but the room is very outdated and needs new furniture and basically everything. The room has a lot of stains and the a/c is already rusty. Main problem was the a/c. We got the premium room but expect nothing but a 1 star hotel. The staff took forever to take care of the problem. Overall i do not recommend this hotel. Good for visiting for the day but not for staying.
If you want to just get away and leave it all behind then this isn't a bad deal. It's very quiet, however I would be remissed if I didn't mention that it looks nothing like in the online booking agency.
A lot of winding, back alley roads to get here and the rooms have an 1960's officer quarters feel to it (It's old) with a few modern amenities. The staff are very helpful but their accents are heavier than let's say Manila but the people are friendly and you're basically in a compound, well protected. I also noticed the choke points (in case of any trouble) after the entrance gate leading to the hotel.
I arrived late (@2am) so I'll get a better look at my surroundings and may edit my post. but all in all; quiet, peaceful , and a little rustic shall we say?

Came here for a family wedding last week. It is a beautiful location and rooms are clean, but dated. Need serious upgrades to plumbing and air conditioning. Water in shower was barely warm and we had to order an extra fan as room was barely cool. Service, however, was excellent with exception of front desk as it was hit or miss if anyone answered when we called. Pools were either not clean or improperly maintained as water was very murky.
We chose to have our simple beach Wedding Ceremony by the beautiful Waterfront Hotel. We had the exec. room for 12 nights and my husband and I were totally happy and satisfied with our accomodation. But sad to say that there is poor customer service and improper coordination with hotel/event coordinator and so with F&B staff during our Wedding reception at the Grand Agila. Wait staff are unsupervised. It took ages for them to refill the foods. It seems that there is no manager/supervisor during event/reception. Mini bar/drinks onsite is not prepared! As We requested the event coordinator with the choices of beers or wines to be serve for our guest as soon as they enter the reception...
I love staying at Waterfront Davao. Even though it’s a bit old, the location is great.
The best feature about this place is their 10ft deep pool. Love swimming in this however I wish they would clean it. Feels a bit murky.
Please clean the pool team ASAP and reinstate loyalty membership since this is my goto hotel for Davao now 🙏🏼

I've been there for 5x but this time we got a building no.5 which is outdated.
The bathroom especially the bathtub is disgusting. If there is a negative side, there is also a positive as well, which is the breakfast is awesome.A lot of choices and all delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful indeed!

Overall experience was positive. I'm not accustomed to being scrutinized by security people everywhere I go. The hotel itself is elderly but elegant. The grounds surrounding the hotel buildings are beautiful with a lovely perspective on Samal Island and the ocean.
