There is a nice 1:1 ship there but nothing shocking, it may not be worth the money of the ticket
This is one of two maritime museums. It fairly small and not air conditioned. The centerpiece exhibit is a functional reconstructed minoan vessel created by a sailing organization. It's quite interesting.
Learned a lot about Culture, History and the evolution of Maritime Science and Technology. I did NOT know that caulking was done traditionally with Rope(or rags), and only thought about the plaster.... Lots of great history and culture for all things maritime;Boats, Sailing, Lighthouses and more!

Small museum, doesn't take long to go through it but has great displays and gives good value for the price.
Great little museum highlighting the maritime history of Crete through a series of wars, battles and invasions from Venetian times all the way through to Byzantine, Ottoman and the World Wars. Mostly filled with recreations of famous ships but there are some really cool artifacts, clothes and other memorabilia. Worth a visit. Entrance cost 6 EUR.
