An interesting historic mill, a great place to hike. From the nearby bridge, you can hike along the Great Seneca Creek, then up onto the hills in 4 different directions. Each has its own unique scenery. The Seneca Greenway Trail, going up-stream on the north side (lower flat area) of the river, provides lots of beautiful views of the river in the surroundings

Nice spot to start your hiking through the Seneca creek trail.

Black Rock Mill is GOOD because you can park there for several trails. Four stars because the roof is missing
Katherine Lizotte
Not much to do there. Really nice signs explaining history of the place. There are scrubby hiking and mountain biking trails nearby.

A beautiful place to relax, enjoy the environment and learn about history

Pretty cool little gem found in the woods of Germantown. The old mill is not really maintained anymore but you can see into it and there is Seneca Creek right next to it with trails.
Timothy Hoffman
Black Rock Mill is a really nice site and trail head. The parking is small so carpooling is a must. The mill doorway has a gate making the historical signage hard but not impossible to see. This site is definitely worth the investment to upkeep and improve.
