The food was really stale...I had ordered Butter chicken and the chicken was rotten and had a foul odour. When i informed them very politely they were arguing that it's not a normal butter chicken this is the authentic one which spoiled my whole night in washroom.

Really AUTHENTIC

The food was Ok.
On a different note, considering the name of the restaurant is Shiva and they serve Beef I don't think they are even Indian.

Overrated place with poor service. Undistinguished flavors, typical for many Indian restaurants on the European continent. Never again

I haven't tried all Indian restaurant's in Munich, but of the many I have, I can confidently say that Shiva is one of the best. I've been coming here for years, and it has always been outstandingly good. The food is cooked true to Indian style and is not adapted to European/ German tastes. The Tikka recipes are a must-try, and are served sizzling on a hot-pan. Otherwise, there is a big selection of other main courses, all of which I can recommend.

If you’re not a rice fan, try the naan bread; my favourites are the butter naan and the keema naan.

The service is friendly and the interior oozes India without being ostentatious. The outside terrace is colourful, inviting and cosy.

This place is super underrated. I visited from Seattle, and have a very high bar for Indian food. We tried the Dal Makhani, Chicken Vindaloo, Dal Tadka, Garlic Naan, Rice, Laccha Paratha, Palak Paneer. Everything on the table was very memorable. I never expected to find this level of quality in Munich of all places. Spicy by Indian standards, flavorful, excellent and fast service (our waiter was very kind and made us feel like we were invited to someone’s home). Highly recommend! So cheap too, this meal should easily be worth 1.5-2x. Spent €80 for 5 people.

The restaurant is amazing. The food is really awesome and the service is also very quick. The food was just very good. I just thought it's a bit expensive compared to other restaurants bit for the taste it provides, it's worth paying g the premium. I would totally recommend this restaurant for amazing taste.

We really enjoy the great food and good service! Definitely an authentic Indian restaurant with all sorts of well made Thali, Dal and Biryanis.
