This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but we experienced a scandalous scam.
1) After ordering our dishes, the waitress brought us 2 pieces of baguette bread, with butter. It was a simple supermarket baguette, baked in the oven (very "low-end"). When we paid, we noticed that each of the 2 pieces of bread was billed at €9.65! However, in any restaurant, a basket of bread (much better than here) is offered.
2) For the adult dishes, a supplement of 6.25€ is charged for the sauce! This makes the price of the dish far too high (in Vaals, you can eat a similar dish for half the price).
3) The children's dishes are very ordinary: just a little meat, French fries, and compote served in the plastic pot... for 16.50€ (for one dish, not both); again, this is much more expensive (and not at all better) than the children's dishes usually found in local restaurants.
In the end, we paid 182€ for just 4 adult dishes, 2 children's dishes, 2 glasses of prosecco and 2 bottles of water. We left with an unpleasant feeling to have been cheated out of around 40 euros. How disappointing!

Wir saßen etwa 15 Minuten an einem der Tische der nicht mit einem 'Reserviert ' Schild versehen war, ohne das man uns beachtete. Die Bedienungen unterhielten sich diese gesamte Zeit am Nebentisch. Das hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört, wir haben ja Zeit . Dann kam ein sehr freundlicher Kellner und nahm unsere Bestellung auf. Bis dahin war alles sehr in Ordnung. Dann kam eine Frau, auch zum Restaurant dazu gehörend, angestürmt und fragte in einem sehr barschenTon ob wir reserviert hätten. Als wir das verneinten sagte sie uns in einem sehr unfreundlichen Ton das wir dann keinen Tisch haben könnten. Im gehen bekamen wir mit das sich das gleiche am Nebentisch wiederholte. Ich habe Verständnis wenn alle Tische reserviert sind, auch das ein Angestellter vergisst danach zu fragen. Bis dahin war alles gut , aber die Art wie wir von der Frau heraus komplimentiert wurden geht gar nicht. Es gibt ja schließlich noch viele andere nette Restaurants in Vaals....

Sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant! Gute Gerichte, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Wir gehen immer wieder gerne dorthin. Durch die großzügige Terrasse hat das Restaurant einen weiteren Pluspunkt.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in town. We have been there with a big group of 20+ people and they arranged a special meal for us. Unfortunately nobody told them that we had some vegetarians and also one vegan in our group. But that was absolutely no problem. They served some amazing vegetarian and even vegan options. Highlight was the vegan tiramisu which was spontaneously created by the chef. You exceeded all our expectations. Thank you so much!!!

Delicious food. Friendly people. Salmon salad recommended! Friendly to kids, they got a surprise bag to go at the end. Recommended restaurant.

The Restuarant is located in the basement and has a truely bohemian atmosphere. Food is excellent, if a little expensive. Service was great noting I appreciated the fact they are not always at your table chasing an order. Staff were excellent. You can even purchase local art and craft products.

Gutes Essen, guter und aufmerksamer Service. Die Terrasse ist sehr schön, verliert aber wegen dem sterilen Umfeld an Atmosphäre. Im Restaurant roch es an meinem Platz etwas muffig nach Keller - man sitzt zwar tatsächlich im (Rats-)Keller, aber das darf trotzdem nicht passieren. Am Ende sind die Preise etwas zu hoch, aber noch im Rahmen. Hier kann man hingehen - muss man aber nicht.
