Soup tastes like three day old water logged misses grass soup out of a box. The chicken in my chicken sandwich tasted old/dried out to hell.. the whole meal went into the trash. The service was rude too. Not worth the $$ I won’t be going back.
This is a really nice casual restaurant with excellent food, waitresses and food choices. They actually have all condiments out on the tables unlike other restaurants where you have to ask for ketchup, mustard, hot sauce or Splenda! It is a great reflection of a family business which has kept up a long tradition of serving the Chicago public. Kudos to all!
Was not happy with the new policy. They charge 5 for an extra plate if you share. For the person who is not trying to over eat, this is not a good incentive. Portions are very good in size. If they want everyone to order a plate. Then make them smaller and cheaper price.
So much good food. My wife had a massive vegetarian skillet and I had a tuna melt and soup. All of it delicious, not some or just mine....all of it. Wonderful waitress quick w coffee and a recommendation.... Yummz
The food is delicious and for the price, a nice portion is received. The service is good but the waitress I had during my last visit could have been a little friendlier by not becoming somewhat frustrated with me when I misunderstood what she said regarding the pancake specials that I inquired about. Other than that, everything was fine.
I loved the orange and strawberry jelly on my pancakes. I preferred that over the overrated maple syrup. Free coffee refills are provided for dine-in customers.

I had the 2×2×2 breakfast special but didn't realize getting the French toast instead of the pancakes 🥞 made it more expensive. Overall the prices are quite reasonable and the food is good. Nice place to go to.
Great spot for delicious breakfast. Generous portions and staff was wonderful.
The best soup, Tomato Dumpling, in the world! So many dishes it is hard to choose, I have at least 15 favorites and growing everytime. Amazing family management ❤️ friendly and caring. Quality matters.
