Classic German traditional cuisine. Very tasty and a great wine selection. Service was extremely friendly.

A fine dining place. It was recommended by a friend who has been to Berlin multiple times. The service was a little slow but the food was great!

The place is elegant, atmosphere is very unique. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and absolutely accurate in every order. The food is beautifully mounted in the plates, and the servings are decent. The price is a little bit higher than I would expect, but still adequate to the place, that's the reason of -1 star. We had a wonderful night with friends and I can recommend it.

According to the ratings and comments to the restaurant, I guess my expectation to it was too high. The food was okay, but the order of the meals made me feel they were not professional. For instance, the salad or so called „starter“ came after our main dishes, it’s totally wrong! Also, the space was a bit too crowded, only very short distance between each table! Other than that, the waiter was nice. In conclusion, it should be a 3.5 but I give a 4 to be fair.

We had a lovely time here last night. We booked early at 6pm and it was a lovely calm arrival. Jackets were taken and we were seated promptly. The menu takes a bit of navigation but it’s all there. Seasonal specials and the classics. This is a Berlin institution known for its simple but quality dishes. There is no pressure to order anything other than what you like to eat or drink. No pushing the expensive wines or the special, which I really appreciated. The service is attentive but not intrusive and incredibly professional. The interior is fantastic and you feel as if you are somewhere special. The restaurant filled but was never too noisy and it had such a charming atmosphere. The food was good but not the best. The Wiener schnitzel was well cooked yet felt flabby and the Bratkartoffeln tasted luke warm and sadly sorry for themselves. This let the whole dish down and was a bit disappointing for their house dish. Go for the potato salad as an accompaniment it looked much better. The turbot special was good but lacked any wow. The chicken schnitzels were really good and the simple salad dressed to perfection. Again the accompanying Bratkartoffeln were poor. The desserts were a step up. A steamed apple pudding! Something I have never seen in Germany before and it tastes excellent too. The cheese board was very good value as well. I drank beer all evening and finished with a fabulous Austrian dessert wine. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

A bit of an overhype, still good quality and service. Maybe only the day I visited but the waiters were indeed in a bad mood, it did not affect their professionalism, they just did not seem happy 😀. It felt like they are doing me a favor that I was “allowed” on the premises.

The staff was all nice, the food, especially veggies, was all good. We may try one more night to try the best menu, although ours were good.

High end restaurant with retro atmosphere and gourmet dishes. I recommend the “black pudding” as it was really tasty. The desserts were also memorable.
