Just wow! Got take out with the chorizo, sirloin, and mixed meat arepas de queso and rellena with a side of the street corn and sweet plantains. While the arepas look small, they are so filling and incredibly flavorful! Will definitely be back to dine in person!
It’s been ages since my last Colombian restaurant so decided to give this place a try. It was about 2pm and rajny so the place was a bit quiet but. Love the decor. The server was friendly and helpful on what to order - they have a number of different types of arepas and it’s not very clear from the menu what the differences are. But I ended up with one with cheese and Chicharrón and it was delicious nice crispy pork belly and flavorful arepa. I also got a Colombian beer and meat skewer to round things out. Wonderful!
Delicious and quick - something you want to see in a spot like Arpea Lady! The staff is super nice and the drinks were delicious. Came here on a nice sunny day and got to enjoy the outdoor patio area. The arepas were amazing and so were the empanadas. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon!
I have been coming to Arepa Lady in Jackson heights for years now, so I was jumping for joy when they opened a location in Astoria closer to the city. This restaurant is the only place in all of New York City where I have had an arepa similar to the ones that I grew up with. If you are coming here for the first time, I would recommend getting any of the arepa con queso sabores. My personal favorite is the chicharrón topping because they smoke it as opposed to just frying, which makes them extra juicy. For appetizer, I usually get the guacamole with tostones, but I today tried it with the fries arepas and it was just as good (if not better). I also really loved how much light enters the restaurant; the ambience was very relaxing and it’s a beautiful place to catch up with friends. One arepa is definitely enough to fill you up, but there’s nothing wrong with taking one to eat :D I heated mine up in the air fryer and it was just as yummy as when it was served with me.
Ordered the colombian burger, chicharon and arepa de chocolo with cheese. Great flavor. Great with pink and green garlicky sauce. Will visit again especially on Fridays where they have live music.
Highly recommend! The service is great, everyone is helpful and attentive. Food is beyond delicious!! I’m a saucey person and love their 4 sauces: pineapple, pink, green and hot. Can’t wait to come back here!

Believe the hype! It has a high rating because they check all the boxes! Delicious food, delicious drinks, strong drinks, great service AND a great vibe. Went here on a Tuesday night but it felt like a Friday night. Enjoyed every bit of the food and vibe. If you’re in the mood for delicious Colombian food and a great atmosphere, this is the place you are looking for! Not only did I eat there but I ordered extra to go because I couldn’t get enough. Can’t wait to go back.
The food was great and the fact that the kids loved it was a relief. I've been to some other arepa places but sometimes the dishes there are not the most kid friendly in that they fall apart very easily and are generally much messier. The arepas at Arepa Lady can easily be cut into finger foods which makes it ideal to serve to kids.
But enough about kids, the arepas there are delicious. The shredded beef, chorizo, cheese were all great. I liked both the choclo and the regular arepas, both are worth trying (choclo is sweeter). The cocktails were good as well and the vibe was chill and relaxing. The service was very attentive.
I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning.
