Their pandeer tandoori and vegetable samosas are really nice but chicken briyani is not as much as i expected.
We had lunch here. We ordered Chicken Biriyani, Vegetable Pulao, Tandoori Roti, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken Kebab and Goa Lemonade. Food was good and portion size was also enough.
The Indian restaurant presents a delightful array of dishes, each boasting authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. Although the menu is priced on the higher side, the culinary experience justifies the expense.
The only drawback I've noted is the modest serving of rice that accompanies the entrees. While additional rice is available upon request at no extra charge, there tends to be a wait for it, which can interrupt the dining experience. A more generous initial serving of rice would be much appreciated.

Whenever I want to eat Indian food I never think twice I always go to shalimar without any doubt almost every month I go there to enjoy homemade Indian food.
The food was lovely. The service was really good. It’s also good to see the owners making sure that everything is fine. Perfect place for good Indian Food
In the center of Hanover this is a nice authentic INDIAN restaurant. Extremely good quality food. The tea was fresh cooked ginger tea. It took however too long between starter and main course. Probably because of rush. The service is good enough
"Shalimar Restaurant is an outstanding Indian restaurant in Hannover. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. The food is simply amazing and cooked to perfection, bursting with flavors and spices that made every dish a delight. We tried the navaratna currt and matar paneer. The quality of the food, the ambiance and the service combine to make this one of the best dining experiences we have had in Hannover!"
Lovely indian restaurant that I always enjoy visiting. Authentic food experience. I wasn't disappointed as I hadn't been for a long time , refurbished and the food was as good as ever.
