Huge. Pretty clean. Quite a few benches scattered on floors besides the main lounge. Don't underestimate the time to find the right track of your train regardless the clear numbering and signalling. Some cafeterias and stores open until 10pm.
The Berlin Central Train Station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof) boasts beautiful modernist/minimalist and futuristic architecture. The place is impeccably clean and flooded with natural light. It offers an abundance of shops, including a supermarket, food court, restaurants, coffee shops, chemist, bookstore, and clothing stores—more than one could ask for. This station should rightfully be a source of pride for Berliners.
The main station list up to its name. The station is huge, big and spacious with plenty of shops and address to pick and run. It’s a three level station with trains passing on the third level and second level spill with tops and restaurants and first level is entrance.
This place is huge! But I have to say it is very clean. Signs are everywhere to help you find your way around. There are plenty of restaurants and shops for the last minute gift. Also, there are grocery stores inside the train station. Smoking is not allowed in the train station.
