Wonderful town! Amazing history and mansions. Used to be playground of rich and famous. We just visited for the fall foliage. Beautiful and quaint.

Downtown was quaint with many shops and restaurants. The Lulu lobster boat tour was very entertaining and the views from the boat were stunning. Avoid going into Bar Harbor when the cruise ships are in!
Hard to find a parking spot. Beautiful town though, lots of hotels, restaurants, and shops. Lots of tourists but still exciting
Bar Harbor is a quaint town on Desert Island in the midst of Acadia National Park. Many unique shops, Souvenir Purveyors and restaurants galore. This is your starting point for Boat, Bus, Trolley Tours. Public Parking available but DO feed your meter.
We took a Foodie Walking Tour, stopping in 4 restaurants and samping local cuisine. Guide of town, history included. Most favorite food place was Stadium--amazing fresh Popovers, coffee.
Swing by Criterion, 1932 Theatre. Still open for Movies. Ivy Manor Hotel had Live local music & drinks. Very relaxing. Galyn's served delicious Crab Cakes. Melt offered mouth watering Blueberry Popovers. Saint Saviors Episcopal Church has many original Tiffany stained glass windows.

Bar Harbor is amazing. Me and my family go on vacation here about every summer and we love it more each year. Mount Desert Ice cream is one of the best things I can recommend while you are here. There are local shops and a great local supermarket. We did go once during February break because there weren’t as many people and hat was very fun except for the freezing weather. This is an amazing place that you should definitely check out.
Beautiful tourist town ! There are plenty of spots to check out while you're here. I mainly stayed in town but if you get the chance, check out their national parks!
