Immigration office for passport matters. Register from their apps to get a registration slot. The staff were friendly and helpful. The waiting room was clean and kid-friendly. There is a particular line for priority. Overall good.

could improve some staff attitude because I've provided all the required documents but they said it is not complete but then they check it again it is all in there, they just didn't see it.

Waiting for almost 1 hour. When we ask about when we will get called, they just say "wait" then play with their phone like nothing happen. We got "D" code and only 2 people(D002) get called, meanwhile "A" code had 40+ people already called(A040). They claim that they will be fast.. I guess it's just a word not in reality

Staff is very friendly and kind. Renewed my visa with them. They don't questions much as they understand tourism is what mostly required and all they judge by the time when you renew visa and only by documents.

Immigration officer helped me when I had trouble with Singapore immigration.

I work in Singapore and I took my kids and in-laws(Visit pass holders) to Batam as it was a long weekend. It was a bitter experience where my family including 2 kids(2 and 6yo) were held inside a room with no proper reason for nearly 2 hours. We waited for 15 mins clueless and realized the supposed to be officer started eating his lunch, smoking and laughing with other workers without any sense that there were older people and small kids inside that small suffocating room and I actually felt that they are obliged to attend to us first or atleast give an explanation. After all, we were not there for any free service. I stepped out because of smoke and they demanded us to stay inside the room. We were literally ill treated and no less than criminals. After an hour a guy came in and finally, I understood that they presumed that we were there for Visa extension for my in-aws. I was asked why we didn’t go to Malaysia, after all it was my choice to do whatever I wish and it is never mentioned anywhere in the immigration guidelines. They asked for 100$ to let us go after 1.5 hours. I asked them the passports back so that we can return, which they never did. Later, head of the immigration came, got our passports stamped and got our money back and apologised. I felt they were so racist and had some cold attitude to people from India. I will never go back again. Totally hate it, forget being an educated officer, these people are so insane that they should learn how to treat fellow human beings.

My friend and i went here for passport extend .After you registerered online. And they give you the date . Please came with pen, materai, glue. you gonna need that for thr form. And prepare for fotocopy your exp passpor and id( zoom in). As far as i know. they serve 200 application on weekday. So you better came earlier to get in first line.i went at 9 am and i my line number is 137

I see a lot of improvements on my last visit to the imigration of Batam Center.

Besides the queueing system is getting better and easier, they also now provide some snacks and drinks for those who wait in the waiting room.
Not only that, there is also a photocopy machine in the waiting room that everyone can use for free.

I really hope it keeps getting better in future.

Batam Immigration has done such an improvement by facilitating enrolment through WhatsApp to avoid hassle. I applied for renewal (e-passport), process finished only couple hours and got my passport a week later. Nowadays there's another one in Harbour Bay as well yet only for non e-passport. Easy peasy!
