Montmorency Fall Funicular

Very terrible experience with the Montmorency Fall Funicular. I would give 0 star. The guy in charge of the bottom entrance was discriminatory. On the date we visited, there was a long line waiting for the funicular. My group (including one with mobility disability) has been waiting in line for more than half an hour. However, that guy allowed a group of French-speaking tour group to jump the queue. What he said was that he needed the tour group to enter as a whole group, so he asked the approximately 20 people from the end of the queue to move to the front. When we complained to him in English, what he said was "I don't understand what you are talking about." And then, he requested us to step outside the queue to watch him allowing the whole tour group to get on the cable car. I think he intentionally made us in the spotline to show other people in the queue that we did it wrong by not following his wrong instructions. Very terrible expirence!!!

There are options that he would have considered, including:

1. As the tour group to wait in line where the last person of that group stands and not to jump the queue; or

2. If the tour group purchased tickets as a group, provide each tour group member a wristband like what we have when we purchase the ticket. Then you don't need to worry about whether a person is with the group or not.

It’s safe, clean and efficient. The problem is the value is just not there. They squeezed a bunch of people in the car like to the point where no one can really move around. Then the trip itself is ridiculously short. It’s probably 1 minute, maybe 2. The view isn’t great and you can get better angles and not through an unclear window. The ticket price should be much less expensive.

Not worthy...

Too crowded you can hardly breath. They should lower the cost of the service.

The guy leading people in woke up with an attitude that day. Expensive, slow, and too many people squished inside.

$29 a person? Really? That’s a bit much considering what you get.

Don’t be lazy and take the 487 stairs back up. For $29 a person you can do a lot. Just hike up the stairs and buy an ice cream and drink at the top.

Nice easy ride to the top. Nice to take the steps down and then the cable car back up.
