Our server was awesome. What I disliked:
Food came out in about 4 minutes. Obviously pre-made and served. My meal was room temp. Wife's fajitas were sizzling hot.
House salsa was not flavorful or authentic. Bland. Server brought me the real stuff and that was good and spicy.
Seasonings were okay. The restaurant appeared clean.
I can't give 3 or more stars when food isn't fresh. I've had worse but this to me was not impressive. The menus have a page that defines what a tortilla is, a taco, an enchilada etc. I think this restaurant caters to people who don't eat Mexican food.
I wouldn't say it was a bad experience because the service was fantastic but the food in my opinion was very disappointing. Presentation wasn't all that great either. My chimichanga was drowning in sour cream, guacamole and lettuce.

This was the nastiest quesadilla I think I’ve ever had. It’s really hardly a quesadilla at all. My tortilla is so soggy from grease I didn’t bother to finish eating it. The few bites I did taste had no no flavor. lackluster meat piled into a mushy tortilla- complete waste of a drive and money.

Ordered Carne asada. Also ordered fresh fish for togo. Beef is tender, beer is authentic, music is great. If you like mexica Food, this is one place you must go.

Have a very good server. Kept checking in on me. Had the cammerones con tocino. Bacon wrapped shrimp was what i was expecting but not what they serve. It was bacon and onions fried to little bits and served with shrimp fried in same pan. No sauce served on the dish. It was ok because i was starving. Warm chips and salsa were served. Salsa was not very good, very bland. House Margarita was good. Traditional atmosphere and nice booths.

Loved the prices here. Service was good—waiter checked up on us repeatedly. The food came out very fast as well.

Feel like celebrating Cinco De Mayo, Las Posadas, or Un Feliz Cumpleaños? Come to La Cocina!! There are 11 locations to try, so if this one isn’t convenient enough for you to visit, check out their website. The restaurant is huge and makes you feel like you are transported to Mexico with the atmosphere and pleasantry of the employees. It feels like you were invited into someone's home and given a heartwarming dish. The margaritas are giant, and the alcohol-to-mix ratio is perfect. Not too strong and will hit you just right to want more, so be mindful. Their housemade salsa and guacamole is freshly made, so you’ll want to keep snacking! I ordered the shrimp burrito accidentally and the shrimp was grilled, but there wasn’t anything else stuffed in the tortilla, so it fell short for me. The Mojarra Dorada was fried well, so it was still moist and succulent. They lightly coat it in a spice flour, so you’ll still taste the fish. Lastly for dessert we had the fried ice cream in celebration of my mom’s birthday. They use corn flakes to coat it and the mexican vanilla ice cream was rich, creamy and if I could buy a pint I would in a heart beat because it was so good!

Overall: 8/10

Had a great lunch during the holiday break and I was really impressed with the food and service. This is a great local chain restaurant and serves typical American Mexican cuisine. The service was great with other staff and server checking in often. Food was delivered in quick order and good portions.
I couldn’t get to 5 stars as the food presentation was bland, the plate needed more color and I wish there was something more added to the dish like shredded cheese, sour cream or chopped tomatoes.
This is a great place for a work lunch or a causal dinner.
