Stefan designed and delivered a beautiful three tier fountain to our home in Southwest, WA. Later when I needed a small alteration he was very accommodating and made a special trip to deliver the new part. Stefan is like an old world craftsman who takes pride in his work and sticks by his product. Don't be fooled by the lack of a fancy showroom at A-1 Bird Bath on Division Street in Portland knowing that you will get a good product, good service and a good deal.
Wanted to add some class to our entryway. I knew of Portland Garden Decor as it’s an old Portland business. Look no further as you’ll pay three times the cost elsewhere. They even delivered for an extremely reasonable cost and best yet, installed. The lions are well north of 200 pounds each and we’re lifted into place carefully. I couldn’t ask for any better product or service.
We’ve driven by this store for so long since we moved into the neighborhood and I’m so glad we finally stopped by!! The artist has such unique pieces, and all at stellar prices. He was super nice, and even helped take our new little yard guardian to our car! We will definitely be returning customers as soon as we’ve carved out the spot for a bird bath and other statues :) thank you so much!
This place is amazing!!! They have every statue or fountain you can think of. The employees are awesome, so kind and helpful. One of my fountains corner cracked due to age and they taught me how to fix it. The best prices in Portland FOR SURE! Highly recommend.
Stephan is a crazy man. Crazy good! We spent a hilarious afternoon installing my custom fountain project. It came out perfect and he worked like a crazy man. I didn’t even have to pay him - he said I was so much fun that the whole thing was free. Then he stole my pen! It was a BIC. So if he comes to your house frisk him before he leaves or you might be minus a pen. Hahahahaha!
Reasonable prices and an extensive selection. Not the greatest customer service so be prepared to be self sufficient. Masks are not worn by staff. At least it's outdoors and not crowded.
Statues in the yard are like icing on a cupcake. For best results get unfinished statues direct from the factory and paint them to protect them from the weather. Diana used two shades of gray acrylic craft paint applied in thin watery layers like water colors. Recesses are darker and projections are lighter. Use a matte clear top coat to finish and seal, and your statue will look great and last a long time.
This is my second positive experience with this shop. The customer service is excellent! I was looking for a unique fountain and he helped me create the perfect one. He custom retrofitted a statue for me to function as a fountain so that I could have exactly what I hoped for. He took time and care to deliver and help me set up the fountain as well. Great people to work with. I'm already planning my next project with them!! This shop also has the best prices and selection in town! I highly recommend them.
