This entire area has been developed into a leisure district in the past few years and it's full of restaurants along the waterfront, with views of all the yachts in the marina. You can enjoy a meal here and then it's just a short walk to Nationals Park to catch a ballgame.
October Fest Weiner Race! So many cute dogs and enjoyed lunch at Gordon Ramsey’s
Fish and Chips. Was crowded but still found parking pretty easily(although it was pricey). There was plenty of live entertainment and restaurants although seating can be hard to find on days with events. Had an excellent time today looking at all the different dogs…and the great weather didn’t hurt.

We stayed at the Hyatt House -The Wharf during our family holiday in DC, the place is safe, clean and offers many nice restaurants choices. It is also in a very convenient location, not far from the airport and tourist attractions such as museums and memorials. Highly recommended.
I just visited the Wharf and I must say it was an amazing experience. The place has everything to offer from great dining options to picturesque views of the waterfront. The architecture of the buildings is also impressive and adds to the overall charm of the place. I highly recommend visiting the Wharf area to anyone who is looking for a fun and relaxing time in DC.
We have been blown away by the Wharf in Washington DC. The developers of this area have done a fantastic job. The surroundings are beautiful, the whole area has that brand new feel to it with lots of great bars and restaurants here to frequent. It really feels like you're in another world while visiting this part of Washington DC. We highly recommend a visit to this area of the city.
I really enjoyed my time in DC for my birthday. It was especially refreshing visiting the Wharf!! The atmosphere is amazing. There are a lot of great restaurants and enjoyment there.
Stayed at the Hyatt House which is in the wharf. Got in Sunday evening and there is a ton of places to eat, drink and shop. There is also a water taxi, yacht club if you rich, places to sit, places to sit by a fire and places for kids to play in the water, and free music on certain nights. Def a great spot and a must visit. Also I noticed the lack of visible cops which was refreshing.
The Wharf is a mile-long waterfront neighborhood full of outdoor dining, local shopping, and fun events and activities along the water.
Great place to walk and have a meal. It gets hot and humid in the summer, but it is very beautiful. I'm not sure if I'd take the water taxi. It seemed expensive, and I'm not sure you see much scenery. It would have been $80 for my wife and I to do a round trip and I'm cheap

The Wharf is next to the Potomac River and it is a nice place with new restaurants and hotels. If you parked at the wharf it is pretty pricey. If you stay for 2 hours you're looking at spending $29 and if you stay for 3 hours it's $36. If you go there on Sunday you might be able to find free parking on the street. There are bands playing live music. A lot of restaurants and new restaurants opening up. Very nice place!

The Wharf has such a special place in my heart, and in my family. I have fond memories of being a little kid with my sister and parents driving out to The Wharf on weekends from Richmond, and my parents would take turns watching us as the other would run off and get as many raw oysters freshly shucked for us, and we would just go to town on the hood of the mini van. Slurping these raw oysters down like there’s no tomorrow! A lot has changed since then, but even though The Wharf has grown over the years it’s still such a amazing place to be. It’s great to see how much this area has grown since I was 5 years old. Love how they still kept most of the seafood market intact, it’s such a landmark in DC! Along with the new restaurants, bars, and theater, it just blows me away how this place has stayed such an important part in Washington DC for many many years! Happy to say I’m now making amazing memories with my family at The Wharf like my parents did with us! ❤️🥰
Good - it's waterfront, a lot of restaurants, a fish market, several good hotels, ice rink, water taxi & tours, several venues including Anthem.
Bad - parking is a nightmare, the place is still under construction so part of it is not accessible. Also while Wharf itself is really safe place a step outside past 7th Avenue can bring you to some less desired areas.
