We had the opportunity of watching a ceremony live, it was a very cool and interesting experience. Loved the place and the openness from them.

Schöner kleiner Tempel. Braucht man nicht viel Zeit zu haben um ihn zu besuchen. Sarong bekommt wie bei jedem Tempel gestellt.

Just another balinese temple with good architecture. You can skip this if you have visited other temples in Bali. It is costly considering that you will spend a max of 5-10 minutes taking pictures of the temple. I wish there was some guide or information provided to understand the temple better. Sarong will be given at information desk right opposite the temple.

There are no tourists here. I don’t have a guide to explain to me about the temple, so I found it quite boring because all temples look the same to me in Bali. The only thing people might be looking at is the thousands-year-old Bayan tree. The entrance ticket is used as a donation.
Entrance ticket = IDR 50,000/person

Compared to Pura Tirta Empul, Pura Kehen was deserted. That was great! It’s a 13th century Balinese Hindu temple with a gorgeous ancient banyan tree. 50k to enter like most other temples.

Pura Kehen is a Balinese Hindu Temple located in Cempanga Bangli Regency. It was established in the 13th century as the Royal Temple of the Bangli kingdom.
The temple has an outer, middle and inner sanctums. The landscape is decorated with statues representing characters of Ramayana, the Indian Epic.
It is a beautiful temple worth visiting.

They’re a gigantic Banyan tree in the premises. A wooden bell, which was apparently at the base of the tree, has now risen several feet above ground level as the tree grew over the centuries!

We went around noon and we had the place to ourselves. I liked the temple being so old and rich in detail. Also, the large tree looks like it's hundreds of years old. We paid 50k rupees for a couple but we had to haggle down from 100k. There are no prices anywhere, so you don't even know if you should pay for a ticket or not, but anyway!
On the downside - and this is a common thing to the majority of landmarks and attractions in Bali - there are no billboards or any kind of info for tourists to understand better the history of the place. One would enjoy it much more if more context was provided.
