Situated on Diamond Harbour Road in Calcutta, close to St. Thomas School in Kidderpore, is the revered Sri Mahalaxmi temple. Spanning across 25,000 square feet, this sacred temple stands tall at a height of 75 feet, exuding a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere amidst the bustling neighborhood. The temple's design draws inspiration from the ancient architectural style of North India, lending it a majestic and timeless appearance.
At the temple, the primary deity is Mahalaxmi, accompanied by Ganesha and Hanuman. Ganesha, known as Mangal Murti, is revered at the commencement of all religious rituals. On the other hand, Hanuman represents unwavering devotion (Bhakti) and serves as a protective force, safeguarding the sacred sanctuary.
The peaceful and tranquil ambiance of this temple offers a truly revitalizing experience. The serenity it exudes creates an ideal environment for introspection and fosters spiritual growth. The presence of beautiful white marble statues depicting Goddess Lakshmi adds to the soothing and calming atmosphere of the place.
