I never thought to take the ferry but I was so glad I finally did. It was clean, quick, on time, not busy, and the views were great. You could sit on the ferry and take in the skyline from start to finish.
Gorgeous location, brings back so many wonderful memories. Cornell Tech is my dream university, which is also located here.

The NYC ferry is a great way to get around the city, particularly during the warmer months. Grab a drink at the bar and get some wind in your hair as you cruise around Manhattan.
Standard ferry station but very amazing. This place is not normally staffed. There is one automatic telling machine and a standard roofed waiting area.
This place is your gateway to Roosevelt! Ferries depart every 40 mins and tickets are $2.75 just like a metro ride .

Dock for the NYC ferry Astoria line. Northbound to Astoria and E90th St in Manhattan. Southbound: LIC, E34th St, Brooklyn Navy Yard and Wall St. Machines to buy the tickets, but much better to get them by the app. A 90 mins transfer window to change to another line. Great service!
