If you love Penang Local Food. This is the place. Today I have the Nasi Lemak, it taste so so good. The fried chicken is a must order

After quite some years, we returned to have some of the hawker fare served.

Curry noodles was okay. Unfortunately the wan ton noodles fell below mark. The only element which was decent were the fried wan tons- however, it was more skin than filling. The noodles itself did not taste great.

Parking avail at RM2.

Excellent choice of food here. Arrived at 8.45am on a Saturday, and it's already packed with people. Food prices are reasonable. Noodle dishes starting from RM5. There are about 15 stalls here, and most patrons are local Penangites. I had Lam Mee and Mee Jawa, and both were very good!

Food that you can find in popular Penang tourist eating spots can be found here. Equally tasty but at a discount. For example a bowl of prawn noodle is RM5.50 (Small) and RM6.00 (Big) compared to RM8.00 else where.

Coffee shop with ample stalls. Good food with reasonable price.
Great food like Oyster Porridge and Curry Mee was our favorite.
I love the almond with evaporated milk which is thick and creamy.
But it was NOT brightly lit and ventilation was LACKING due to low roof.

Update 15 April 2023:
Jawa mee still best. Unfortunately not sure what happened to the kopi, became so diluted like drinking water only. Pity because it used to be above average. 👎👎👎

Original review:
Best Jawa mee I've ever had ... With nice toast bread and kopi... Perfect breakfast!

Lovely, bustling coffee shop with plenty of delicious food options. Cheap and tasty, it's no wonder the place is always packed. There are some famous food stalls here. I particularly like the oyster porridge, but it sells fast, so come early to avoid disappointment. Parking behind the coffee shop RM2 per entry.

Local hawker centre under the large canopy of an old tree, the setting made it looked really original like back in the 60s. Wide variety of selection and every dish we tried was delicious. A small barber shop outside if you need a quick hair cut or shave after meal.
