We enjoyed the Mutrah Souq for what it is, an interestingly house market full of mostly cheap trinkets, with a beautiful carpet or cloth shop interspersed here and there. The market spills out onto the corniche where you can enjoy a meal and watch the cruise ships in the harbor. It's a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Wonderful water front
Beautiful place to be all the stores here are extremely expensive and pointless everyone is trying to rip off tourist with cheap products all shopkeepers will give you unrealistic prices for what they have in their store and you have to haggle alot.

Do not advice to shop here for jewellery or clothes or anything else at all.

Look for shops out side the souq they are more reasonable and sensible.

The structure is pretty impressive, spent in the main building some time in a coffee place. The halva, vegetables and dried fruit part is pretty nice. I came here, mainly for the goat market that is on Fridays starting at 7am. Impressive.

Great place to find all kinds of unique collectibles and clothing.

Best place to buy souvenirs to take back to your home. The rare antique shops are my personal favourite.

There are several lanes and bylanes in the market which house a huge vatiety of shops selling things you won't be able to resist buying.

A must visit place if you're in Muscat.

This market is one of the biggest markets in Oman.
With a very trusted shopkeepers and nice shopkeepers are present in this market.
You would find all ancient items in this market.
In this market all items are related to the Oman country which is very beautiful and very original.
This market had a plenty of shops which you find here and with lots of ancient accessories.
In this market you will feel like I can buy everything from this market.
This market had a lot of Oman traditional items which are more valuable to this country.
In front of this market you will find a huge river you can walk on that side of the river which feel you very amazing

A nice tourist centric souk in Muscat, heavily laden with shops selling Frankincense, spices and other tourist specific kitsch. Lot of the shops burn Frankincense, which lends its heady aroma as one walks among the souk lanes. Lots of street parking available around.

Wide range of traditional souvenirs, crafts, jewelry, and other types of gifts. Plus, various spices, frankincense, dried fruits, and especially the very well popular Omani Luban ..Bargaining is important... except to be "annoyed" from the salespeople while they are trying to make a sale.. The aroma of frankincense permeates the atmosphere, and with the dim lights and cool interior, one can really spend hours walking around.
