My husband wanted to take me here for my birthday today. 2/17 we arrived at 11:30 am and there was a closed sign on the window and lights off, but the website says open and so does google. We called and no one answered. So disappointing!
I'm sure it's probably an amazing museum, but I'll never know. I was visiting Easton and stopped by the museum just before opening at noon. Noon rolled by and it never opened. We knocked, rang the delivery bell, and called until about 12:15. We even checked the website to see if they were on a delayed opening for the day and nothing was mentioned. No one appeared to be there so we left.

I made history at the sigal museum. I was the first African American female to host a fashion show here. The museum is sure and amazing place. The space is absolutely beautiful for events. I included a few pictures of the evening!
This museum is a gem. It is smaller but packed with interesting history of the area. There are three floors of well organized exhibits that represent the area. I thought it would take us longer to see everything but we make our way through the museum in an hour and a half. We are visitors who read everything.
The museum is accessible for those with mobility issues. There is an elevator and there are accessible bathrooms on every floor. Another note is that although there are some benches throughout the museum, there didn’t seem to be enough. From someone who has mobility issues, I could enjoy the museum a lot more if they just had a few more benches throughout.
The gift store has a fair variety. I bought Jelly Belly jelly beans that were listed on sale. When I opened them at home I noticed that all three packs were well past their expiration date. I think the sale sign should have noted that.
We would certainly return to this museum for the rotating exhibit.

We read everything when we go in museums and it took us an hour and a half to visit this place. It is multi level but doesn’t not take long to view the exhibits. I really liked learning about the local history and industries. They also do a great job connecting the local history to things we use today.
The gift shop was a good size but had limited things for sale. I bought three different packs of jelly belly jelly beans, two of which were on sale. All three had a bad expiration date, even the full price pack. They really should have noted that. I did find a book on the local history for a reasonable price.
There is metered street parking in front of and behind the building and there is a parking garage behind the building. The building and bathrooms are all handicap accessible but there are limited benches throughout the building. That was a real challenge for me.

Another fantastic place to learn so much about the cultures that make up this great area of our nation. It's a fascinating place. One can spend hours at the exhibits. Another American’s Autobiography: Selections from the Petrucci Family Foundation’s Collection of African American Art runs from November 19, 2021 – July 10, 2022. Do not miss this. It is inspiring, heart wrenching, moving and vitally important to give these artists their due.
What an amazing treasure that can easily be overlooked if you don’t know what you are looking for. If you are looking for something to do that will teach you about Easton and the area around Easton don’t miss the opportunity to visit this awesome museum!!!!
