Very weedy boat launch. Water level is low. Bathrooms are is great shape and clean.
Great launch point for Spoon, Keller and Gervais Lakes and water connections to Kohlman, Round and Phalen Lakes
Spoon Lake is an awesome beautiful Lake. Clean and lots of space to bring your boat to cruise. It is a great place to bring family and friends for a good time whether you want a barbecue, go fishing, lots of walking trail, fishing piers along the way. A terrific Lake to have the best time during the summer!
It's nice they built a fishing pier and walkway all the way down to Keller Park n
We put kayaks in to paddle Lake Gervais. Amazingly calm, quiet Sunday afternoon. Not too many fast boats creating waves. This is a chain of lakes that goes to lake Phalen through a few shallow, weedy channels. Lots of people swimming and fishing. There are cleaner lakes in the twin cities.
No bites at all on multiple lures and live bait dead fish on shore line and the fish that I did see under the bridge were not moving really and had no interest at all in anything I was using I actually hit one with my bait and it didn't even flinch they need to do some algae control and stock it with more fish it's a really beautiful lake sad to see it like this
It's a small lake but very beautiful & peaceful. Great for fishing with the young ones.
Also, it's a great place to go early mornings to meditate.
