The gates were locked at 11:30am. Could not get an answer at the rangers office. Disappointed.

Hard to find from any entrance, but well worth the effort.

I am no stranger to local, nature exploration, but this place is hands down the most biodiverse habitat I’ve yet seen.

The bog area is so well isolated from the surrounding developments, an enchanted, fantasy world starts to build in the imagination.

An additional treat are the wet meadows found just beyond, in the powerline easement.

. . . and beyond that (up the hill) can be found a lovely pine barrens with all the hallmark species you’d expect.

A very rewarding expedition for a budding botanist or casual hobbyist.

Great place to see nature. Go on a guided tour with a Park Ranger.
