Sehr gutes Skigebiet in den französischen Alpen.
Auf Grund der Nähe zu Genf lässt es sich sehr gut erreichen.

Die Pisten sind abwechslungsreich und bieten für jeden Level, ob Anfänger oder sportlich ambitionierte Fahrer, genügend Möglichkeiten.
Auch die Freeride Fahrer kommen auf ihre Kosten.

If you are a skier then Flaine is a great place for your holiday. Very family friendly, functional accommodation, being it self catering apartments, homes or the hotels in either Flaine Forum or Flaine Foret.

Plenty of ski school staff at ESG to help newbies, numerous ski instructors available for one on one tuition.

Numerous restaurants and bars for all tastes, numerous facilities to rent ski equipment, although I would highly recommend JonMe and Natalie who run Les Black Side, very professional service and knowledgable - they do excellent food and drinks too.

The two has two mini markets, a Spar and another beside the Black Side, it has a great bakery above the Spar for bread and pastries, some great take away eateries.

Very nice ski resort with easy to understand and navigate lift system, lots of snow as it's high up and very wide slopes. However, most blue runs are not really blue but red - overall a good place for intermediate skiiers, not so much for beginners (unless you are doing ski school )

This area lies nord, therefore it will always have snow. They immediately press the snow tight when the first flakes fall. The pistes are prepared every night and morning if needed. Its a really good area with mostly blue and red. But red can be dark red closer to black and blue can be close to red. They also have enough green for beginners. Very child friendly.

Purpose built Bauhaus resort for skiing focussed around the UCPA centre. Not really a village and certainly not a party town but an excellent snow record for a 1600 base (top is 2500). Enough runs for a busy week of skiing. Some excellent, safe, off piste that connects between wide runs. Not many hillside cafés.

Great resort and some interesting runs for intermediates. The queues moved very quickly and I certainly enjoyed my time up the slopes and in Totem au Neige hotel

Coming to the end of the season and it's very warm, but still lots of good Sking higher up. Some of the Blues have some steep Red stretches but the pistes are wide and well groomed. Flaine is a fantastic resort for all ski abilities.
