Amazing place for kids. Nice and calming. Lake was fun for kids to see. Though it could use a little clean . Other wise park is mostly for older kids but my 18 month old was able to climb and use 2 slides just fine.

We discovered Bethany Lakes Park in Allen and really love walking our dogs there. It's a peaceful atmosphere where there are people fishing, flying kites, kiddos playing on the playground, or feeding the ducks. What I love is that there are no speedy bikers whizzing by you on the sidewalks like there are at other lake parks we have been to. It was a friendly atmosphere and even had a huge spray fountain in the middle of the lake, which was beautiful to look at. And lastly, it is very dog friendly with lots of places to get free plastic poop bags and garbage cans as well! Enjoyable place for an afternoon walk!

Nice place for some relaxing time and fun time for the kids. You have to have an fishing license to fish in the fishing pond. There are plenty of ducks in the area. And a walking trail.

My family really enjoys this park. It's just pretty at sunset, especially when it's fall outside. Great playground foe the kids.

Very safe even at dark before sunrise. City workers in truck are present. Cops drive through checking or park in lot. There's always someone walking their dog. There's egrets squirrels rabbits ducks geese. I enjoy feeding ducks and geese bird seed. Some won't eat off the ground and want to be hand fed because one lady feeds them that way so I take a glove to wear for that.

Beautiful! Enjoyed the Beach Boys Tribute Band this evening! Beautiful ponds with ducks. There is a kids playground & there are restrooms.
Dog friendly & picnic areas.

Beautiful park. There are two ponds, one with a fountain. There are places to sit, tables, and a few pavilions. There are herons, geese, and other lovely birds to see and hear.

I love how Allen has replaced there parks with Brand new equipment! This new one has a perfect area for little ones and the big ones. Most parks that are new tend to have the same ol play structures. It’s great how unique this place is and also has little places that encourage stem with funny mirrors, maze puzzles, and many many musical instruments! Only thing missing is more shade under the seating area. There is one bench that has natural shade from the tree, and another that has a tiny bit of shade from a play thing. The pond over here is very nice and parking is great.

Bethany Lakes Park is one of the reasons why we decided to buy a house in Allen. This beautiful park features 3 large lakes teeming with ducks and fishes. A concrete running path takes you around the park and it's guaranteed to give you a scenic run, no matter what time of the day or season of the year.

The park has a recently renovated kids play area, several pavilions available for renting, a fishing deck, and a huge open space for events. It also houses the Joe Farmer Recreation Center right behind it, all with ample parking space.

A typical evening at the park will have several locals playing with their kids, fishing, walking their dogs or sitting on one of many picnic benches feeding the ducks.

Me and my hubby come here daily rain or shine, and we go around the park several times. But we always remember teasing the swans while we are at it - they give us that jolt of running energy - I have a feeling they now recognize us as the annoying couple that doesn't always bring tasty treats!!

If you live in Allen, or are passing by, stop by at Bethany Lakes Park for a calming walk and enjoy serenity.

Nice place for kids. There were so many ducks in the lake and nice to watch them. Kids play area was great . Nice trail for walking.

Amazing Lake so clean water. The most surprising is you will get to see many different colors and sizes Ducks. It is nice feeling to see these rare ducks. Also it is a big landscape for family day outing to play outdoor games, eating out etc. The street parking also so close to the Lake. The small kids play area has many musical instruments to play !

This is a spacious park with a few options for walking around the perimeter around the lake. There are picnic tables, playground, and the lake hosts fish, turtles, ducks etc. I love coming here in the spring when the bluebonnets are in bloom.

My only con is - I wish there were more trees along the walking trail to shade the summer sun like some other Allen parks.

It’s a nice area to feed the ducks (come early before they fill up though)

You can also people watch, picnic, and relax under a tree.

They've recently begun adding more walking paths to finally go around the entire part area. Very happy they are doing this after all these years. Great park to visit! There is a memorial of people who served the military in the middle of the park and there are even parts of the walking path where you can get your name or business etched into a brick by donating or contributing to the park in soem way, although I'm not sure if that can still be done now or if it was just from a long time ago. Lots of ducks and wildlife around that are nice to watch. It's never that busy so it's a great place to take a walk, take your pets, or your kids. They have a wooden fishing dock, a large playground, BBQ pits, and there is also a rec center right on the park.
