My review would only touch walking trails in the park. There are several big parking lots in this city park close to fields, pool and basketball courts. You can make a loop around the park via paved trail from basketball courts to dog run. Although park is located on peninsula jutting into South Bay, water views are underwhelming. Restrooms are open in winter.
Beautiful ball field..infield was fantastic with the new astroturf...5 stars if they clean up the outfields

Came here to play pickle ball with my boyfriend and the courts were amazing.
In the early Saturday mornings it is a bit crowded but there are some ladies that rotate the players which works out.

Newbridge road park is a classic park to go to within the Town of Hempstead. The pool is nice for what you pay for, and the pickleball courts are nice as well. The atmosphere there is fun! Plus there's always ice cream trucks to find the coveted SpongeBob and sonic pops.
I really like the ways they have been steadily improving this park over the last 10 years. Dog run, Turf Ball Fields, and now pickleball nets available on all of the tennis courts. Newbridge Pool still great value, with friendly lifeguard staff and clean pools.

Park is huge. Plenty of space but the dog park is a joke. No room to really get a good run. Was also told I can’t walk the dog on a leash anywhere. Only spot is this small area buried in the far end of the park. If your dog likes to run more then 100 feet, don’t bring them there.
My dog Jessie had SO much fun here! I enjoyed watching her run! the people there are pretty cool for our 1st time going there! 😊
