Lovely little garden at the bottom of the hill that Belvedere Castle is on.

Located at West Drive & 79th Transverse. Sitting right below the Belvedere Castle. It was first created on this site in 1912 by Dr. Edmond Bronk Southwick as ‘Garden of the Heart’. Named as Shakespeare Garden on April 23, 1916 as it became focused on Shakespeare. An enticing garden filled with plants/ flowers mentioned by Shakespeare.

This is a gorgeous place for a stroll. The greenery and colorful blooms were so nice while we visited!

Beautiful garden in CP! They have the best flowers here, a few places to sit, and great spots for photos. Nice relaxing area I ran into while jogging in the park. Also close to the castle in Central Park so you can visit these two spots in one visit.
