Cool little shop. Nice Mexico & Columbia espresso blend. Fun vibe. Nice inside and outside sitting areas.

The Coffee Bar does not allow dogs inside, which is perfectly acceptable, they have a slightly open window to get coffee. However for some unknown reason you can not order from the window (what's the purpose?). You must first go home and login and wait for some website administrator to approve you, don't know how long that will take, and order your coffee, THEN you can come to the window and PICK-UP your coffee. Well that is so convenient when you are walking your dog in the cold rain and would like a cup of warm coffee. There is a much better coffee shop just a few blocks away near 13th and U Street NW which has the most friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff, better coffee, and cheaper!

You guys have an amazing space, come on use your imagination. The program/process/simple daily schedule. You really could be a good coffee shop and much more.

Really, how difficult would it be to make it possible to take orders at the window? NADA! H E double toothpicka I'll come run your window for free.

Wake Up!

Very cool place - felt more like a coffeeshop in PDX than DC which is a definite plus. I had a vanilla latte with oat milk and it was great - another reviewer spoke highly of their vanilla and I can second that!

One of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. Cozy, neighborhood vibe. Great music (they were playing soft jazz and some tasteful Christmas music around Christmastime which was really vibey). The shot of single-origin espresso I had was lovely. Their vanilla syrup for lattes is also some of the best I've had. Fire ham and cheese croissants too. Non-pretentious staff.

i stumbled across this place in my search of new cafes to pull up to. i love everything about this cafe. it’s so intimate and intentional in its purpose to keep you around. the staff are the most calmed, cool and cutest personalities and their latte skills are the true plus. the oat milk matcha i ordered was honestly perfect, i did not want to leave so i’ll be back again soon :)

Such a cute cafe! Latte was delicious, service was pretty quick, and lots of seating inside and outside. I didn't stay but will definitely be back to hang out.

This place is very popular with locals, so if you're heading during a peak time, be prepared to wait 20 - 30 minutes for your order. There are a variety of coffee-based drinks available as well as some pastries (although I didn't see the prices of those posted anywhere). My hot latte was good, although not the best I've ever had. My main gripe with this place is the expense. For what they are charging, I would expect near perfection. Instead, we were met with just solidly good drinks. I don't know if we will make another trip out of our way to revisit The Coffee Bar, but we might consider stopping by if we were in the area and needed some caffeine.

I tried their mocha and zucchini bread, they’re both good! I love the amount of foam and the coffee doesn’t taste burnt.

Good place to chill. They have an outdoor and indoor seating.
