We cook a Thanksgiving and Christmas meal every year for the residents and those who come to eat.

A wonderful giving place.

A Christian charities operation that provides a free meal every single night anybody who wants one. Lots of volunteers, lots of activity, so sometimes things get lost or fall through the cracks. Not the most responsive management team there. Bless their hearts.
Thomas Wilson
It's a nice place for people trying to get there life back on track

The fact that this place offers dinner, every single day and clothes for the homeless and needy is wonderful however, that's the only two good things about this place. Some of the staff are downright nasty and rude. The food is often disgusting, and tastes like it's more than a week old. Nothing is actually cooked here. Other area churches cook and serve the food that comes here. In fact, much of the food is well over the expiration date before it even gets to this place, which is why it's free. All that said, it's a necessary evil to have this place around because otherwise there are limited options in Alexandria. Other area churches serve breakfast and only one other church serves lunch, and Christ House is the only free option that serves dinner, so it is actually needed, but the way it's managed is deplorable.

They have great food and really care about the people they serve.
