Went here late Sunday evening. No wait and plenty of parking space available.
We loved that the menu has 3 different languages which makes it much easier to read. Two of us ordered the pork rib with potatoes stew (for 2 people). It's a little over $40, which is cheaper compared to most of the Korean restaurants that offer this dish. It's hearty, comes with 6 pieces of giant pork ribs and a few pieces of potatoes. The seasonings are not as strong as the best ones we've had elsewhere in the neighborhood though.
Very lovely and attentive service. I can't guarantee if they have this type of service when it gets busier. Nevertheless, we were very happy with the food, price and portion.

UPDATED:
I finally got the chance to dine in and I think I have found my new go-to Korean spot in the area. The takeout was already good, but eating it fresh was (obviously) even better. To start, they bring you banchan. The banchan was slightly different that what they gave us for takeout. It was even better. They gave us these plates of tofu and it might be the best tofu I have ever eaten in my life. It was silky smooth, but doesn't easily break apart when you try to pick it up, and is topped with some gochujang and green onions.
We ordered 3 lunch specials and a japchae. The lunch specials are a great deal because you can get a combo of a main and tofu soup, appetizer, or seolleongtang. We had tofu soup + seafood pancake, tofu soup + galbi, spicy pork + seollongtang. My favorites were the galbi and the japchae. The galbi isn't your traditional galbi but is stir-fried in sauce. It's not a bad thing, but just not what we were expecting. Between the four of us, we had a good amount of leftovers to take home.
Can't wait to come back!

Ordered takeout for a Friendsgiving. We had all the classics - seafood pancake, galbi, spicy pork, regular pork, japchae, and bibimbap. My favorite was the japchae and the galbi. They also gave us two containers each of banchan - kimchi, radish, and white kimchi. I've never had white kimchi before and I really liked it. I actually can't think of another Korean spot that serves it.
Next time, I'll have to dine in and have everything fresh.

Service was great and food was ok. Meat portions were ok. Fried fish was delicious. Soup based food was ok, need a lot of salt which then made us thirsty after the meal. Galbi was a little too sweet.
Been coming here at Tang Maru but here’s an updated review four years later!
Obviously, if we’re coming back the food is still as enjoyable as when we first visited! Learning and remembering from our first experience, i get the spicy pork belly hot stone now! Lol it is just so good and flavorful! I love the dance of ingredients here and the generous portions! The level of spiciness is just the right heat for me to actually still have that kick but also enjoy the food without having to constantly stop to drink and exhaust that fire lol
The seafood pancake is also still our go to appetizer. Perfectly cooked and not stingy of the seafood. You get a nice flavor of the scallions too! We also got the Seolleong tang as it was a combo with the haemul pajeon but it wasnt one of those flavorful broths. To be honest it was quite bland! Lol however it wasnt too bad. Not really. I guess we really just wanted hot soup for the cold weather and didnt really matter what we got. But maybe next time we will try another one. Coz we’ll be back again for sure!
And oh btw, the parking lot right beside the restaurant is sooo convenient! And place isnt really packed every time we visit so service is usually quick! Perfect!

This is the most authentic Korean restaurant I ever tried in the US so far! You can tell because all the customers are Asian (mostly Korean)! We all ordered soups (ox bone and ox tail) and the broth was so smooth and no fishy smell at all. Same thing for their fish & pork dishes! They are all cooked from fresh ingredients so it took a bit time but it was worth it to wait for freshly cooked food instead of re-heating the food! All the servants were kind but they tend to speak all in Korean so be aware of it if you don't speak the language, but they provide pictures menus so it helped a lot for my non-Korean friends to order food. I was quite disappointed about their side dishes compared to other places. They only had four and they were okay. I might come back just for the soup for take-out, but not dine-in again.
Tang Maru is my favorite Korean restaurant around this area! Definitely recommend their special pork belly & oysters with Napa cabbage wrap. They also have several Korean stews & hotpot’s, which are all amazingly delicious. If you like the rice bowl, try their hot stone bibimbop.
We’ve been looking for a quality soup place around this area, every time we go somewhere recommended, we weren’t impressed. However this place has the best beef broth based soup!! It is very similar to quality soup we had in Korea, this place will be our family’s favorite restaurant from now on. Service was also great, they gave an extra soup and noodle for our little daughter and extremely kind.
What a find. Atmosphere was comfortable and peaceful. Mia the owner was so welcoming and friendly!!! We loved everything the hot stone bimbibop was hot and crispy and tasty. Tofu soup was delicious. Easy parking. I can’t wait to go back!
