Great experience at the counter with the opportunity to talk to the chef and hear about the different ingredients he had selected. Very quiet on a Tue night, with just 7 people at the counter. Great sake list.
Amazing Omakase, 150 chf pp. Their smily japanese chef composes the dish in front of you: nothing crazy, except for the nigiris it's mostly platting. The tenderness of the fish and meat was on point.
The only thing is the service, whose quality is extremely low, especially when compared to the food's. The waiter hardly smiles from the welcoming to the goodbye.

Wir hatten das Omakase für zwei Personen gebucht - die beste Entscheidung für uns persönlich. Das Essen war vorzüglich und absolut authentisch. Der Chefkoch Kenichi Arimura kann zwar kein Deutsch und nur sehr sehr wenig Englisch, jedoch hat er sich extrem bemüht, uns seine zubereitete Gänge mit viel Liebe zum Detail zu erklären.
Es ist sehr wichtig pünktlich im Restaurant zu erscheinen, da man mit allen anderen Gästen (max. 8 Personen) gleichzeitig mit dem Essen startet.
Fazit: Immer wieder gerne, absolut fantastische Küche & das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Amazing experience with a very kind chef, my boyfriend and me enjoyed our anniversary today here with the huge variety of freshly prepared sushi and other dishes! Definitely recommend 😍 The dessert was amazing with the soft and chewy mochi
It was pricy but worth the money - the varieties of sushi dishes were prepared with care by a skilled Sushi Chef (not Jiro Ono) that indulged the palate. However, the ambience could be improved.

I made a reservation for Omakase and I was pleasantly surprised of how great it was for the price.
The whole experience lasted around 3 hours during which the chef would freshly prepare each dish and explain to every single customer what it was.
I could’ve taken photos of every single dish served, but I preferred to enjoy the experience and also didn’t want to take out my phone out of respect for the chef, who took time to carefully prepare the meal in front of us. I only took a photo of the dessert at the very end, which was a strawberry daifuku with a selection of fruit.
I highly recommend to try the Omakase at Edomae.

I had a high expectation after seeing the review. Table was reserved, seated nicely but table wasn't cleaned well. It was cleaned after the waitress saw us trying to clean with the tissue ourselves. Table were not stable neither. Service was friendly but clearly understaffed. Food came for one person long before another. Miso soup was tasteless(my friend thought the same). Rice came spilled a little on the bowl edge, as well as salad. I had sashimi lunch with good price, considering it's zurich. Although it would fit better with sushi rice not white rice. If you could improve the small details, it would make the restaurant much nicer.
Lunchtime visit at Edomae: I had a delicious sushi set menu, which was a great value for money (most of the lunch sets are priced around 30.-). Service was a bit slow, overall great experience and good atmosphere for a business lunch. Make sure to reserve a table!
