They should close at 10 like they used to before covid. They also stopped towel service which was also stopped during covid. Covid restrictions are not a thing anymore. Why charge so much for membership with limited hours and services for consumers?

I love the various services and amenities membership at the Park Street YMCA, Montclair, NJ affords.

Friendly Staff, Gym, Sauna, Steam Room, Pool… etc. What more can one ask for.

The Montclair Y is awesome, it's very family friendly, it has 2 pools available, the family swim schedule isn't confusing or unavailable like other YMCAs. The sauna is at 160f vs other YMCAs at 140. Overall the Montclair Y is a cut above others in the area

I love the large pool. It doesn’t have too much chlorine and the temperature is comfortable. I easily find a lane to share during the weekdays Adult Swim 10-2. I am also enjoying the women’s locker room. I like the changing rooms, the clean showers and toilets, the cedar dry sauna, the bathing suit spin dry and the hot air hair dryers.

I've been going to this gym for over 25 years. From the Bubble Babies program with my daughter to working my old carcass on the weight machines, I have experienced this place to the fullest.

In that time, the Y team has made significant upgrades and made it infinitely more useable and customer friendly. If you're looking for a gym without pretense this will be your place. I look forward to my continued relationship with the Montclair YMCA.

Recent upgrades of the weight room are great! The hammer machines are much needed. The newer cardio machines are great as well. The expanded space is a great use of the building space.

The Y used to be much better but it has gone downhill the last few years. There are no lockers to use in the locker room because they've all been rented out (for additional fees on top of the increased membership fee) to "permanent guests". They got rid of the towel service during the pandemic. Showers often don't have soap. Pool schedule changes at a moments notice for no reason. Swim team is now on its 4th head coach in less than 3 years.....

I always have a great workout at the Y. I love all of my options from swimming to classes to exercise machines. The best part about being a member of the Y is that if I can't get to the gym for a month or 2 or 3, I know my money is going to a wonderful organization that does so much for the community!
