The strip is the heart of Vegas, anything you need is right there, food, clothes, night clubs, pool parties, activities and straight up sight seeing, if your in Vegas and don’t visit the strip your missing out on 90% of vegas, my advice if you explore the strip is to wear comfortable shoes because u will be walking 70% of the time unless you buy a bus pass around 8-20$ and it runs the whole strip.
I visited about ten years ago and the hotels were cheap, I stayed in a mini suite in Mandalay Bay for $80. Now prices have gone mad. But it doesn't seem to stop people coming. Be prepared to walk and walk. And contending with the crowds is no fun.
As for the expense of trying to eat a meal, it really has got ridiculous.
Then they expect you to tip starting at 18%. Tipping in America was always 15%. The cost of food has gone up astronomically so 15% of the higher price should be fine but no you are expected to pay up to 25%.
Even in a coffee shop you are expected to put a tip on before you even get your coffee.
My tip is to pay in cash and put a dollar in the jar when buying coffee.

In addition to the hotels, lots of entertainment, shows, casino's, bars, restaurants... you name it. You won't be bored a single minute.
Choose wisely in what part of the strip you'll be staying. Distances seem deceivingly close, but you'll end up walking long distances if you intend to move around mostly on foot.
Do your research regarding restaurants. There is a huge variety in options, pricing and quality. In some cases the brand is what commands the pricing while better options may exsist.

I don't know if I was just raised to be polite, but the tourists here have to be the rudest. Absolutely no self/situational awareness, and no clue about personal space. I understand that big cities are going to be crowded, but this was crazy for the first week of April. Also... does no one remember how to cover their cough/sneeze? To be fair we did mainly stay in the strip, but anytime we left and went somewhere the people were super nice. So it's definitely not the locals! Overall the sights are wonderful, and the food is great!
This whole place is awesome!!!!! It was exactly the voltage I needed in my life!! I will say Vegas is very expensive even for someone like me that did not gamble at all. It's fairly easy to get around the city not just the strip. They do have a rush hr so be prepared for that. I cannot wait to return!!
There’s so much to see and do here at literally any time of the day or night. During the day it is quiet, peaceful, and not too busy; at night time is when everything lights up in a big beautiful neon glow and all the crowds come out. It definitely gives off tourist trap vibes but there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars, cool attractions, and hidden gems along the way. There’s things out here for every budget, and a lot of places are open 24/7. There are some really nice high end hotels that you can take shortcuts through as well, and they are easy to get lost in. Be mindful that you will have to do a lot of walking here (the hotels are so massive that they look closer than they are)— wear comfortable shoes and make sure you have plenty of hydration. The monorail and deuce bus are super convenient and affordable for getting from one end of the strip to the other. Be wary of the ‘showgirls’ walking around and people peddling CDs or bracelets (they will harass you for money if you take their offers). It’s such a fun and safe place to be whether by yourself or in a group. There’s so much to do here that can’t be done in just a few days, so repeated trips are necessary!
I absolutely love the strip. Everything is so vibrant and loaded with new experiences. You can go to Vegas 100 times and you will still run out of time before you try everything the strip has to offer. Things are constantly changing, new restaurants are always popping up, but the strip itself will always be the main source of entertainment.
I visited recently for the F1GP and the U2 concert at the Sphere and there was a lot of construction and barricades in place as the track runs along the strip. It truly enjoy all the strip had to offer avoid October, November and December as all the F1 infrastructure obstructs some of the most iconic parts like the Bellagio fountains, and pretty much the whole area from the Wynn to Planet Hollywood. Having said that, I’ve visited Vegas a couple of times before and the strip at night it pretty awesome. Be sure to both walk it and also drive it for the full experience. The main part between Wynn and New York New York is the best Be prepared to walk though as it’s miles long and the 2miles drive takes about 50mins but it’s great to take it all in
Beautiful but it has a lot of construction sites that take over the sidewalks. Specially for the Formula 1 race that make it difficult to go around. Uber might be more expressive due to the constructions too.
As far as vacations go, this was not my favorite place. There are definitely some amazing things to look at and fun things to do but the destination is lacking. The streets are filled with peddlers for all that Vegas has to offer. People openly smoking was a huge surprise and huge disappointment. The Casinos were mostly amazing on the inside. Everything is ridiculous priced. First and probably last visit...just not for me.

Las Vegas is one of the world's most beautiful and entertaining place. Lot of 5 stars hotels, VIP pool parties, casinos... clubs...excellent nightlife...you can have full time fun and only fun everywhere in Las Vegas. Las Vegas strip and las Vegas downtown must visit places and no one should miss them out ever.
The Las Vegas strip is full of many iconic sites. It’s streets are rough. The best way to see it is through car. You may not be getting all the pictures you want, but it is very worth it to stay away from the strips dirty sidewalks. Traffic is horrendous so you will be able to appreciate the surroundings. Also, it is important to visit the strip at night to see the casinos lit up.
Las Vegas is a breathtaking city that will leave you amazed. The lights and neon signs that illuminate the strip create a stunning landscape that is unique to Vegas. The city has something for everyone, from world-class entertainment to luxurious shopping and dining options. Its iconic hotels and resorts are architectural marvels, transporting you to far-off places. The Bellagio fountain show is an awe-inspiring sight that will leave you spellbound. The whole city is a perfect amalgamation of glitz and glamour. One cannot help but be entranced and fascinated by the beauty of Las Vegas. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will never forget.
This place is something to see in your lifetime. Bring your sense of humor with you…and your patience. It is crowded!!! Lots of people everywhere. I would recommend visiting on weekdays if you don’t like crowds. We did find parking but had to be a little patient. We did not walk the strip. We went to specific places and parked. We actually hotel hopped and that was a lot of fun.
