Nestled in the vibrant Ballston area of Virginia, Hawkers offers an enticing culinary journey through Asian street food. From the moment you step inside, the restaurant's hip design captivates.

The menu boasts a delightful array of dishes, each bursting with flavor and spice. Our dining experience was elevated by the attentive service of our waiter Iyan, who not only provided excellent recommendations off of the menu but also ensured that every aspect of our meal was enjoyable.

The fusion of bold flavors and authentic ingredients truly impressed, leaving a lasting impression on our taste buds. Whether you're a spice aficionado or simply craving a culinary adventure, Hawkers delivers an unforgettable dining experience that celebrates the essence of Asian street cuisine.

This place was great! It's kind of izakaya-style. Like you share small dishes. We went during happy hour and enjoyed all the foods we ordered! The Chinese bbq bao buns are delicious!

Definitely recommend this place love coming here all the time whether it’s on my lunch break or dinner and drinks with friends. Great atmosphere, and especially great service from Ian!! Drinks are amazing and the food is delicious and occasionally they have special seasonal menus with extra dishes to try.

If you are into aesthetics, you'll love this place. The decor and theme are very cute and very IG worthy if you're into that sorta thing. The service wasn't bad either.
The food...
It's a no for me in all honesty.
My husband and I split the pad thai, Korean wings, and chicken dumplings. Out of the 3, the dumplings are the only thing we enjoyed. Everything else tasted under seasoned, very bland. I've had great pad thai from hole in the wall spots with much bigger portions. Honesty very disappointed.
$75 not well spent that we won't be getting back 🤷🏿‍♀️

This place not only has a unique interior decor that transports you to an Asian market, but the food is also great, creating an unforgettable experience. Delicious Asian food, excellent service, and a one-of-a-kind ambiance make it a great place to dine. Although it's been some time since we last visited, we look forward to returning soon to savor it again.

Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon. There's a happy hour special for half off all alcoholic drinks and a selection of small plates for $5 (about 50-60% off normal price).

The pork belly buns are great, especially with the bits of cashew to add a texture element. The spring rolls are filled with a delicious, smooth filling. The Korean fried chicken was super crunchy, spicy, and great.

No server, just the bartender, and we sat in a booth outside the bar areas. Nonetheless, he was attentive and answered questions and recommendations from the menu.

10/10 will revisit to try other dishes.

Ordered a 5 spice old fashioned- not too different than regular, not tons of 5 spice flavor (it's a 5 spice simple syrup). Would personally have liked to have more 5 spice flavor to really set it apart. Spouse ordered a Malaysian Mule. Similar situations the turmeric simple syrup wasn't as strong to really set the drink off from a regular mule. Still, would go back and try other cocktails (especially during happy hour) to find one that really sets it apart as being unique to Hawkers.

Food there was so good! Fried rice and spring rolls were delicious. Also cocktails were really nice. People were friendly here as well. Especially Arly, our waiter, was super nice: friendly and super helpful. Definitely will be back!

Wow! This place NEVER lets us down. Such an amazing experience from the host and our server Ian. The food came out timely and it was amazing! Not to mention the drinks! The Malaysian Mule is highly recommended and the Dan Dan noodle! They do not take reservations but the space is so huge that you don’t wait for too long! It has indoor, outdoor and bar seating!
