Lots of fun! Went for the first time today. Everyone was friendly. Got set to work with some dead heading. Got to take home some sunchokes 🌱
Wonderful community garden in the heart of Columbia Heights
Beautiful garden with tended by wonderful people. If you have a chance to stop by and want to learn some great gardening skills, this is the spot!
The Green is an open community garden that welcomes all! There's no fees to join and no individual plots, so it feels like a big farm.
A moment of green refuge in the middle of the concrete jungle. Saturday mornings come alive with people.
How not to say it’s the best, hahah!?
A great job there done by the volunteers and managed by the talented Kate! Ok, easy for her, as she uses her professional skills but she is obviously a big part of this garden. Some others are very committed to their contribution to it, too.
I recommend you to visit on Saturday morning. And I bet after your first visit, you will come back! Join the community!
