Lovely restaurant. Came here for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We came a bit early before opening, so we waited at the bar. They have drinks from least to the most strong. I had a Love Affair in Paris , which I'd recommend if you like Hennessy.
Then we went to our table. First we had the seafood misto, which I loved! It would be nice if they had melted butter for a side, but otherwise perf for 3 people that love shellfish .
For the main, I had lamb chops, medium rare WHICH LIVE UP TO THE HYPE. Glad I got them.

The birthday dessert was great, I liked the chocolate sauce. The crème brûlée mascarpone was also a hit.

Service wise it was, our waiter and the host was very attentive. The ambiance is perfect for a dinner date or celebratory gathering

Wow! Amazing food, exceptional service, gorgeous decor, and fabulous views. It is officially my favorite restaurant in the DC area. Great for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because you want to go. Our server/Gustavo was absolutely the best!! The food was cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed a fabulous meal on my birthday.

I got the bottomless brunch for $69! My food was amazing with the exception of the macaroni and cheese and eggs . It needs some work! Our chairs were chipping so there was a bit of debris on them. For the price point of the restaurant I expect the chairs not to peel on my dress. I enjoyed my experience overall!

Amazing food at La Vie's brunch! All you can eat small plates for $69 and a 2 hour time limit. We added the bottomless mimosas for an additional $39. All food comes out at once per course and served family style for the table. Anything you like can be ordered again. All courses were so delicious and tasted fresh. The Caesar salad, vegetable quiche, NY steak, duck carbonara, and French toast were the highlights for me.

For mimosas our waiter was very good at refilling our champagne and we were provided orange, pineapple and cranberry juices to mix in.

We were celebrating my birthday and La Vie was sweet enough to give me a card and also a free cheesecake in addition to the amazing desserts already provided. I had a great time and hope to come again soon!

My boyfriend and I were on vacation and were looking for more than just a good meal, we were looking for a full dining experience and we most definitely got that at La Vie.
We were able to sit outside on their terrace dining area, but both inside and outside are beautifully decorated and have amazing views of The Wharf. The pictures will speak for themselves!
The service was amazing, our waiter was Will and he was fantastic! Very funny, attentive, and my boyfriend was able to communicate in both English and Spanish with him no problem. All of the waiters were very friendly and the whole place had a great, fun, but high end vibe.
We’re not used to fine dining considering we’re college students, so the fact that at La Vie they wait on you for every little thing was very interesting to experience! They’ll even come and wipe down your table for you after each course!
The food was excellent. We had the Kafta as one of our appetizer and it was some of the best and most tender lamb I’ve ever had. For dinner I had the Lobster Risotto which was also delicious, I just think it had a little too much sauce for my personal taste but that’s just me being nit picky. For dessert they brought out a complimentary cheese cake brownie with a cute sparkler on top!
Great food, great views, great drinks, great service, and a full dining experience! Just expect to spend at least $200 here between the food prices, the gratuity tax, surcharge, and DC state tax.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at La Vie, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience that transcended the boundaries of mere food and ventured into the realm of culinary artistry. From the moment I stepped foot into this gastronomic haven, I was enchanted by the elegant ambiance and the warm, attentive staff, setting the stage for what would become an unforgettable evening.

The first thing that struck me about La Vie was the creativity and innovation apparent in every dish they presented. The culinary team at La Vie masterfully blends traditional flavors with contemporary techniques, resulting in a harmonious symphony of tastes and textures that delight the palate and surprise the senses. Each plate seemed like a meticulously crafted work of art, with vibrant colors and intricate plating that showcased the chef's dedication to perfection.

Moreover, the service at La Vie was impeccable. The staff was not only attentive and knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about sharing their love for the culinary arts with every guest. Their personalized approach and willingness to cater to dietary preferences and restrictions were commendable, ensuring that each diner felt both welcomed and indulged.

While La Vie is undoubtedly an upscale dining destination, it offers an experience that transcends mere luxury. It is an oasis for those seeking an adventure of flavors, where food becomes an art form, and every bite feels like an exploration into uncharted culinary territory.

In conclusion, La Vie is a culinary gem that deserves every bit of acclaim it receives. Excellent dinning experience! I think the price is very fair for the view and ambience of the location. I only had brunch here and it was a positive experience. The vibe was great and most patrons were dressed up.
This place will be great for celebrations!

Visited La Vie for the first time after my friend’s recommendation. The hostess was extremely warm and welcoming. The restaurant was beautiful and our waiter was nice and knowledgeable about the menu.

I enjoyed a sparkling water, glass of sangria and a La Vie Burger Royale. The dinner was extremely filling. I’m excited to return on my next visit to DC! Perfect spot for a date night or girls night.
