Delicious food. Super Service.
First time here.
We had Prime Rib and stuffed shrimp. Both were
great.
The salad bar is great. Lots of choices.
The waiter was really friendly.

From the time we confirmed our reservation with the host and were escorted to our table and were greeted by our waitress Hannah, our dining experience really was exceptional. Not only did she answer all of of our questions but she made recommendations.
The prime rib was just as delicious as was described.
It was accompanied by an amazing au jus and creamy horseradish aoli.. My Wife had fresh green beans and mashed potatoes and I had mashed potatoes and roasted butternut squash. While we waited for our entree to come out we enjoyed the salad bar and homemade cinnamon bread and cornbread that was fresh out of the oven.
The cinnamon bread pudding, topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream was also as was described by our waitress.
During the times we are living in these employees are definitely an asset to your establishment.
This was the first time we have eaten here and we have an Anniversary on March 19th and are planning on another visit.
Thank you,
Mark and Sharon

This was a recommended to us by a city clerk as the best place to go in Rhode Island for an excellent locals meal. Absolutely everything was wonderful and did not disappoint. The service was amazing and had an excellent knowledge of the menu and food allergy precautions.

I go here each trip back to Mass, and I can say the food is always consistent. The cinnamon bread and salad bar great touch. The Pear Martini the best. The service is top-notch. Thanks for keeping it together and maintaining a great place to go after the pandemic. Not alotnof places can do this. Cheers!

Hands down my fav restaurant and I travel 2 hours to come!!! Went for the first time in October- after reading reviews was nervous but one said would be like a “hallmark Xmas movie” so had too see if it would hold up to the praise! It def did. It was amazing atmosphere, salad bar was delicious, food was great and servers were efficient and polite. Came back again in December and even more of that hallmark feel. I’m surprised to see negative reviews because not close to anything we have experienced and I’m excited to see the restaurant in the spring and summer also!

We just happened upon this place, and we couldn't have been more impressed. Everything was perfect! The Christmas decorations were beautiful, the service was outstanding, and the food was amazing! My wife, son, and I shared the New England Feast. SO good! The inside is cozy and comfortable, and the outside is so picturesque. We had a great view of the dam/waterfall from our table. If you're in the area, you'll definitely want to stop here.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant for the atmosphere! The food is terrible now though! I got an undercooked mushy, almost empty lobster last night. My husband's prime rib was overcooked! We got the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer that were tasteless- 4 for $18! The waitress was completely uninterested in being a "server", and neglected to tell us about Monday Prime Rib night, and the "new holiday menu" that we overheard a different waiter telling his customers about. I wish he would have been our server! I'll always love the beautiful atmosphere of the Old Grist Mill, but the food/service is awful so it's doubtful we'll go back. There's plenty of other ways to spend over $100 than on a terrible meal with servers that clearly don't want to be there. The 2 stars are for the atmosphere. The food and "service " get zero stars! The new owners are awful!

I always enjoy dining here, I’ve been coming here for years. This afternoon I had the French onion soup and fish n chips. I had to pack the fish to go, the portion was enough for 2 meals. Everything here is good! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty meal 😊
