The chicken shawarma plate is so flavorful. The customer service is fantastic. Also, I love the gyros. Visit Tx Shawarma and you will thank yourself.
AMAZING!!! Best gyro wrap that I’ve had in Austin! It is cooked fresh and both meat and vegetables are oozing out which I love!! Tzatziki sauce is on point and they add hot sauce to make it even more flavorsome!! Absolutely delicious!! I forgot to take a pic before I took a huge bite!! Sorry the picture was taken after a huge bite so it doesn’t do it justice because all I cared about was eating more…
Decided to pick up dinner at the Thicket Food Park location on South 1st. It was our first time trying and the young guy working the truck was super kind and explained everything throughly.
We ordered:
The chicken shawarma plate
The beef kabob wrap
Side of falafel (it comes with pita bread, white sauce and hot sauce)
Side order of fries (white sauce, hot sauce and ketchup on the side, at the suggestion of the worker so my fries wouldn’t be soggy on the ride home!)
The food was hot and super delicious! The wait was no problem at all. I’d also like to mention that the menu is super visible, everything that comes on a dish is clearly stated and if a modification is necessary they will happily do it. In my case I didn’t want red onions on the chicken shawarma plate so they left them off.
We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great food! My only critique is that it took a pretty significant amount of time to get our food and the side of fries did not have nearly enough sauce and ended up very dry. But the falafel wrap was delicious. I will definitely be returning and I'd recommend it to others for sure.
Amazing food truck with variety choices of Mediterranean food. The falafel was yumm. I would highly recommend this place. Hope they can add more sitting place and parking places.
This is my go-to lunch at least once a week if not more. Consistently fast, friendly and delicious. Gyro, either in wrap/plate or salad form is excellent and I've tried a lot of places. It's the best tasting gyro around! Highly recommend! Parking in food trailer court may busy during peak lunch times.Pro tip: order online and you'll receive email notification when ready.
We were passing through Austin and decided to stop and try TX Shawarma and it did not disappoint. We tried the gyro wrap, gyro salad and the chicken shawarma plate and all of them were amazing! The service was friendly and fast and the portions were generous! My kids loved their meals too and asked to come back again. We’ll be sure to come back next time we’re in the area.
Super fresh spot for shawarma in a food truck court. I had the chicken shawarma and also got the side of falafel/pita. Everything was made fresh after ordering and the shawarma was packed full, literally, as well as being full of flavor. Perfect blend of spice, pickles, and rice. I was full but finished it off 😳 The falafel was a bit much to add with how much food came in the shawarma, but the hot sauce that came with it was nice. It has a mild heat that builds over time. Service was friendly and straightforward. I ate at the courts tables for a late Monday lunch, and most other traffic was take away ordering.
