Cherry Hill Market

I come here to get my fruits and vegetables because I find them to be fresher and when I am in a pinch, Cherry Hill is steps from my home-so it is convenient. However, I just experienced something very uncomfortable from one of the male employees at the register. I get to the register and I see that they have signs that they are no longer giving out Plastic bags and that you need to come with your own or purchase one. I didn’t know so obviously when I get to the register I say yeah I want a bag when the gentleman asked me. I notice everyone walking out with these white reusable bags and yet my items were placed in a blue plastic bag. I asked if I was charged for the bag? He said yes $.20, I said how much is the reusable one he said 15cents. I said so you overcharged me five cents to give me a plastic bag instead of a reusable one. He did not know what to say & tried to convince me how the plastic bag is sturdier. I am bothered by the treatment I just received. It wasn’t about the extra five cents, but more the principle. I was charged more for something less. There is no accountability and makes you wonder how many other people have experienced this same issue at this store. If I didn’t ask and speak up he would have gotten away with it, and maybe he felt I wouldn’t care or speak up for myself. I will not go here anymore and I will be sure to let others know to be aware. It almost felt as if I was profiled because I am obviously not of the same culture as the person who overcharged me, but everyone else in the store were. This is such a shame and disappointment.

Love this store!! Everyone is always friendly and love their products. Love coming here after work.

Cashiers not very friendly,sometimes even you would not get greetings. Also the line often is long through cold cuts department. Selection of cakes is good,produce is also not bad

This place is an incredible supermarket! 🛒 Cherry 🍒 Hill Market 🏪 in Brooklyn 🗽 offers an endless selection of amazing Russian 🇷🇺 groceries, meat 🍖, cheese 🧀, canned goods 🥫, bread 🍞, cakes 🎂, dumplings 🥟, drinks, and some much more! Definitely get the dumplings by the pound! ⚖️ It's so fun to walk 🚶‍♂️ around the store and explore the fully stocked shelves! I wish I could spend more time here

Sour cream cake is for people with diabetes.
In fact it’s not a cake at all. It’s just bread with sour cream. Also as an external decorating element they used bread crumbs and it ain’t cheap treat.
Beware.
Taste before buying anything at this place.

A bit on the pricey side but the selection is incomparable. The managers are always on the floor and very friendly and accommodating. The staff is also very friendly. If you go there often enough they become like a family.

The bakery is fresh, the hot foods are fresh, the cheese and meat are fresh. Large range of dairy products. They have snacks and all types of fruits. They have just about everything in stock for culinary needs Different types of drinks as well. I am always greeted with a smile. Very respectful business.

Would give zero stars if there was the option. I’m not surprised about the rude, if not racist, behavior that other people have experienced from this place based on some reviews. I was trying to purchase some cold cuts, and salmon, and the ladies behind the counter didn’t even bother looking in my direction. I tried to signal several times but was ignored yet again. They moved on to help other Russian customers that arrived after us. If you’re not Russian or white, don’t expect to be helped or be treated with any decorum of respect.
