Beautiful place to sit and contemplate the city life. Could spend hours looking for details in the buildings and fountains.
Great views of the city, walked up some beautiful stairs to the top, bit of leg burn to get to the top but is totally worth it.
Beautiful! You get a great view and you’ll be able to take amazing pictures. We went twice around 11AM and again at 4PM, each time it’s not been busy and you had space to snap a picture.
It’s got a relaxed atmosphere so this place is great if you want a change of scenery and want some peace.

The Albrechtsbrunnen , also known as Danubiusbrunnen is located in the heart of lovely Vienna. This historical masterpiece, has been made of 9 statues (one in the middle Danubius and Vindobona and four at each side), a fountain and the background building.
A beautiful architecture which needs time to visit and admire.

The Albrechtsbrunnen is a fountain on the lower level of the Albertina museum. The fountain is named after Field Marshal Archduke Albrecht of Austria-Teschen, who at that time also lived in the Albertina.
The fountain is also known as Danubiusbrunnen for all the allegorical sculptures representing the main rivers of the then Austro-Hungarian Empire, including the River Danube from which the fountain takes it’s alternative name. Other rivers featured include Tisza , Mur , Salzach , March , Rába , Enns and Traun.
The fountain and sculptures are awe inspiring as it was intended to show off the power and size of Austria-Hungary. Oddly for a fountain. Water actually plays a small part of this structure. It’s more about the sculptures than a fountain. The fountain is well worth a look and easy to find if you’re planning on visiting the Albertina anyway.
