Very good food in a simple setting. Prices are fair and the portion sizes are decent. Creative menu. The food here is better than you might expect - even if you're expecting something good. The baked goods are also very good - the breads are fantastic! Worth trying - and returning.
This avocado toast (comes with a side salad) was amazing. The ingredients taste really fresh and the sourdough was perfect.
A regular bakery around the neighborhood. I was excited to try out their croissant products but but it was not that impressive. However, still worth to stop by and give a try. 🍪The big chocolate chip cookie that the staff recommended was delicious!
This is one of those bakeries that one can easily walk by without noticing it because there are no pastries on display in its front window. Patis is located on Lexington Avenue between 88th and 89th streets. The sticky bun ($6.75 including tax) was not only highly flavorful at the top of the bun, but it was flavorful throughout the rest of it, with a different than the top pleasing level of flavor. If you like sticky buns, you will find that this one is close to the best that you have ever had. I have also tried their strawberry croissant ($6.50 including tax), identifiable by its strawberry striped pastry which, all around, did not have enough flavor to please me. The croissant has a small amount of strawberry filling which was not an easily recognizable strawberry flavor, and I did not find it pleasing enough. Service was quick at 8:45 a.m.
Not a bad place to stop and get a quick sweet treat or snack. They don't have a full kitchen, so no real "hot cooked" food. I wanted an egg overeasy added to my avocado toast but due to the lack of kitchen, they could only do hard boiled, so I passed on it. The food we did get was delicious and I would stop in for a quick bite if I needed to.
Went here twice on a recent visit to NYC. Picked it almost at random, but I’ll go back again! The food here is excellent- had the almond croissant and tomato focaccia bread. The croissant was not too sweet even though it looks like it’s going to give you a sugar coma. The bread warmed up is a fabulous savory complement. Seating is limited as it is with most places in the city, but it’s located in a nice neighborhood. No outside seating. Patis is on my list to return to in future visits.
I cannot rave enough about these pastries. I can however rave about the absolute gems of humans behind the counter. We tried the Pastrami Lox Croissant and the tomato tart. They had sold out of plain croissants for the day so I opted to put it on White Country Bread. Eeeeeexcellent choice. The tomato tart was flaky, buttery, and had the most melt worthy tomatoes. Coming back for the olive bread and a loaf for that country bread. Thanks everyone!
So excited about Patis opening in the neighborhood! The vibe is wonderful and there is both indoor and outdoor dining. You can get a coffee and pastry or even brunch (soup and bread, a salad, sandwich). Everything is delicious and high quality. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are great. Convenient location. Overall highly recommend!
