Very beautiful trial and with the stream running right next to trial the walk along the trail is even more pleasant. The early morning walk is just amazing.

Wonderful, scenic, and mostly flat bike path along the Bronx River Parkway in Westchester. Surprisingly beautiful and tranquil with several rustic bridges crossing the River back and forth. There’s even a small waterfall! Bring your lunch or a snack to enjoy on the abundant park benches.

An idyllic park that straddles the Bronx River, this makes an ideal trip when you want to escape the heat and crowds of the city without traveling too far.
The Saw Mill Parkway runs along the park but the dense trees and natural plants mute the sound of any passing cars, making it easy to forget the highway is even there.
You can put down a blanket and lounge along the water; hang a hammock between some of the ancient trees; or take a break on one of the many clean benches conveniently placed throughout the park.
On our walk, we noticed seagulls, ducks, and a variety of colorful birds including cardinals and a blue Jay.

most think of the Bronx River Parkway as a roadway that's mostly highway by design. however it's also a very walkable nature pathway and bike trail that stretches from part of westchester to the bronx. it's pretty scenic during any season from greenery of Spring to the vibrance of summer to autumnal colors of Fall to snowy blankets of winter. it's nice having these respites of nature close-ish to NYC as an escape from the din of the city.

i took a bunch of pics in the Bronxville section of the BRP. it doesn't disappoint in terms of views of nature from tiny waterfalls to a duck pond to quiet spots for reading, people watching, etc. it.s also very close to the MetroNorth Bronxville stop and there are plenty of restaurants and retail close to the BRP if you want to eat, drink, and/or shop after a nature excursion.

the BRP has a variety of folks using it from area residents getting light exercise, parents + babies + strollers, temporary escapees from NYC, bike riders, nature enthusiasts, and more. while the BRP gets lots of usage, i didn't find it to be too busy. people on the paths are genuinely friendly.

if you are looking for a breath of fresh air, the BRP nature trail might be what you're looking for.

Beautiful trail, goes all the way back to white planes and worth doing the whole walk once in a lifetime. Amazing scenery

A relaxing place for my nature walks. There is a lot to explore on this lengthy trail and I've enjoyed different sections from the Bronx to Crestwood. Great if you are looking for a slice of nature amidst our hustle culture. A few waterfalls, quaint bridges and little hills line this unique and easy to walk or ride path. Bring your bike or a comfy pair of walking shoes...no skates allowed.
