I was so disappointed and not impressed at ALL with my order and my friend's order! The food was made wrong, it was cold, the staff seemed to rush me and told me that it was all made correctly in which it was not! I used to love coming to this restaurant at all costs I'm going to avoid, El Grosso, after that experience! I sure wish that they would have replaced the meal and fix what was wrong that night I hope that you will take this into consideration at this restaurant, since someone recommended this restaurant to me a few years ago and it used to be great, now I just think the food has gone downhill!
Been coming here since the 90's. Food used to be very good. Lately its been hit or miss. Today I think was my final miss. I ordered a Steak Burrito and two steak tacos. Entire order was ready before I put my change in my pocket. The food was terrible. Flour tortilla burrito never saw the grill and was like the tortilla came right out of the bag, filled with steak and beans, lettuce, no tomatos or cheese. Steak tasted like it sat all day, bland and dried out. First time in over 20yrs of going there I threw the food right in the garbage. There are too many other options in the area these days and better Mexican food. I won't be back and neither will my tips.
Their tacos are so fire. My wife loves them so much and she swears that they are only second to Taqueria on Central.
Whenever you visit, ask for Gloria. She works limited hours but she's the absolute best. She'll take care of you and make sure you have the best experience. Great late night spot - esp after a night of wine tasting at Cooper's Hawk.
Ordered here as a late night dinner. It was really good! Tacos are packed with meat, gave us a ton of salsa. The side of beans w the chips was a nice touch. My husband liked his tortas. I would come here again. Not badly priced either. Paid $40 for 5 tacos, 2 tortas, beans, and a large horchata. Very good!
I have been here alot over the years and its always good food. However today the women taking orders was extremely rude. Rolling her eyes, yelling, ect. Then when the order was ready she threw the food in the bag sideways so everything leaked.
Stopped to get some tacos late at night after a concert. It was extremely busy, so we knew our wait time was going to be long. The tacos were worth the wait. They were very delicious!
Kept going back between 4 or 5 stars. Gave it 5 cause the food is usually spot on. Today it was fantastic and my picky twins ate all of it. Fresh, hot, and quality meat were on the menu this afternoon. Probably get it again tomorrow.
