Amazing little hidden gem of a tennis court right on top of grand central! They have one full size tennis court that is mostly reserved for group lessons and two practice courts which are for stroke practice using ball machines.
Best kept tennis secret in the city!
Began my tennis journey here in January. Had never held a racquet in my life. I can't speak highly enough of this place and the learning environment the coaches create - especially for beginners. Both my coaches - Josh and Danny - have helped me gain a strong foundation that allowed me to feel confident enough to move onto adv beg classes - only 3 months later. While I still have a long way to go, I'm grateful for the camaraderie and support this club offers. Not to mention, the court is housed in one of the most historic buildings in the city. Looking forward to the summer and finally stepping foot onto an outdoor court with my racquet : )
If there is an option to give negative, I would do so. I purchased 10 classes from Tennis Pro Danny, but I didn’t get equivalent services. Here are what I have experienced:
1, tennis pro was 35 mins late to my 1st class
2, he asked me to change my class time because he needed to meet his date at 2pm
3, he changed and canceled my class before my class time and refused to give me the refund for the court.
4, he apologized and promised he won’t have any time issues, but same type of issue keep happening, he gave me the wrong class date that made me go to Vanderbilt and he was still at home.
5, he agreed to let me know a better time for my remaining classes, and I haven’t heard back for 3 weeks.
6, I said very clear that I don’t want to continue my package with him after taking 3 classes with Danny. He refused to refund me money and said the classes are transferable. I let 3 of my friends contact him, he didn’t reply on time or he never reply, then he said my friend has never texted him.
I was looking for getting equivalent professional services, and this tennis pro constantly show me unprofessional behavior and lack of ethics.
I wanted to learn tennis, but having such experience is sad and obnoxious.

REPLY TO OWNER: thanks for the message. I tried to reply your response, and there is no reply option on google review from customers side. I paid $850 to Danny on 10/18/2022 at 6:55pm. My classes on weekdays were cancelled frequently, and Danny told me to play by ear for the court time, and he texted me to wait by the vending machine close to elevator if I arrive early.

REPLY TO OWNER: From your 1st reply (which you deleted), I just knew tennis pros are not allowed to bring outside students into the club. From the time I paid to Danny, he told me everything is included. I felt awkward when he asked me to wait him outside and needed to play by ear. And we had classes outside your court as well, he owe me money for the court fee because he has time issues over and over again.
I tried to communicate with Danny several times , he gave me Vanderbilt policy -- never issue refund for any reason. Danny is a full-time pro at your club, if I'm not relate to your club, why would he does so? It is fair enough to rate 1 star or below.

Nice & quaint place to find a lonely tennis court above the Grand Central. Very pricey though. Watched 4 geezers played geriatric tennis there. I can't fathom overhead under spinning serves.
Right above the Campbell Bar is a unique tennis club. watch your head on the sideline and the one backcourt but so convenient and with nice views down Park Ave and w the arched and oval windows w their decorative metal detailing presiding over the court is a fun place!
A gem hidden inside Grand Central Station that is spacious and open to the public to reserve court times - also the newest tennis facility in Manhattan! The club has one regulation sized indoor hardcourt, one junior court, 2 practice lanes and a fully equipped fitness room. Check the website for more details.
